A solution to prize/gift giving?

Hey so i was just having some cereal and was thinking of solutions so we can give prizes and small gifts with no RWT. I know tons of people have been posting good solutions so I thought i'd put up another one :-w

 

 

 

Anyway i was thinking - the TET has a gift giving prize around every month so:

 

 

 

Why not have a a set time that lets everybody be able to give or recieve 1 trade that is unbalanced to a higher limit

 

an appropriate set time would be a month

 

an appropriate trade limit could be 50-100k

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ie:

 

 

 

on xmas i give/recieve someone something around 100k like some rune - and for the rest of the month all my trades will have to be within normal 3k limit -and i won't be able to give/recieve out a prize/ another gift until jan 25th.

 

 

 

 

Would this stop RWT?

 

 

 

I think so- they could only sell 50-100k per month.

 

 

 

Since you can only recieve something once a month as well -some gold seller couldn't have 100s of accounts each with 50k on them and then give the "gifts" to the buyer.

 

 

 

 

Would this be useful?

 

 

 

Yes: Party hosts could give prizes greater than 3k (because parties with prizes do not happen too often.

 

Yes: At xmas small gifts can be given.

 

Yes: If your friend dies and loses some stuff you can give them some stuff to get them back on their feet (some armour, food, etc)

 

No: if your friend was logged on to your pure you could transfer food and armour to the pure... :(

Maybe even 100K per hour seems too little for the Gold Farmers to transfer easily too, which leads to the new limit per 15 minutes being 25K.

 

 

 

OR maybe the trade limit should reflect how long someone has been playing for. For example; the limit would be 3K for new accounts, and maybe 1M for players who have been playing for 1 year or over. No macroer stays in-game that long. :)

 

 

 

Although, I still like this idea, as it is MUCH harder for the real-world traders to make easy transfers than what I've mentioned above.

A sparsely distributed 100k unbalanced trade opportunity would be perfect, as I give my friends 99k as a present to buy their respective skill capes when they achieve the 99 level required for it.

I guess that's a possibility. But well...

 

50-100k is a cheap gift

 

It doesn't help friends who used to share things a lot

 

No fix to merch, nor boss loot sharing
