Cheap ($200 at RadioShack), plays videos, MP3s and views pictures.

Use that other money to buy a 1GB SD stick ($100 at Bestbuy/Radioshack) and other stuff like the Targus Universal Wireless Keyboard ($60 at BestBuy)

Good luck!

yeah seems like a good choice, just checked it out on some tech site and it seems good for planning over all. Also the 1GB SD stick sounds pretty nice.

I regret buying my Palm m500, its useless, well i didn buy it, but I regret asking for it and receiving it, same with my paintball gun, ah, the fads u grow out of.

I have the sony one that looks like a little laptop, I can't remember it's name though, it's in my closet somewhere until september. It's all color, takes pictures, plays games, and has a QWERTY keyboard built in. It was $999 when I got it (I bought mine as a refurb, and I knew the store manager, so I paid about $400).

I probly would have put the money to a real laptop if I could make the choice again, but it's too late now. If you want a PDA, I'd go for a Palm brand.

700 bucks US or AUS or what ??

Aussie Aussie Aussie,

:D

I'd go with a tungsten T5. They're much much more powerful than the tungsten E's and only $100 more. http://www2.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=PALMTUNGT5 for example

You can get more power for the money with a pocketpc but the software community is nothing compared to palm. I'd never give up my palm. Plus the palm free software community is very strong (not to mention the "free" software community).

Buy a laptop.

I bought a PDA and it does nothing for you. Just buy a low-end laptop and it will be far more powerful than a PDA ever will be. Or buy a DS or PSP, or just blow all of that upgrading your graphics card.

Once again, I will reiterate: PDAs are a waste. If you want to store information, then buy a $10 electronic organizer or something. If you want to play games, get a DS or PSP. If you want to do everything, then get a laptop. That simple.
