I dled IE 6 and tried to run it but it says it detected a newer version in my computer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and can someone tell me how to lock a folder? I use the family computer all the time and I want my files locked from my brother and sister and their friends ><

i see your using firefox for this. You MUST use IE for windows update.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To lock folders just have your dad/mom make you a user acount, then no1 but you and administrator accounts can view YOUR files/folders.

:oops: Thanks about the Firefox thing but are you sure there's no way I can lock my folders?

For locking folders: Control panel -> User accounts. Make the first user an administrator, this is called the root account and can access everything. Any further admin accounts created can view all accounts' files (including other admins) except the root account. Regular users can only view their own files. Then password protect your account so noone can log in as you and you're set :)

So there's no way I can change folders into what it is in the picture, like add the little lock? That's an icon of an ecrypted log file from msnplus =/

2. you will need a third party encryption program. Or alternatively. My Documents/Work/Business/Files and make the "work" folder hidden.
