SERG_Troy
I just got an Ipod early this morning (for Christmas). So of course, being as anxious and excited as I am, I decided to register it. Now, at about the 7th or 8th step, it appears as though I need to enter a credit card number and some other number (to do with the credit card). Me being the age that I am, I don't really have a credit card, nor do my parents want to trust me putting theres in case I accidentally buy something in the Itunes store. Does anyone know of a way getting by this? Or what should I do?
Andy
get your parent to do it,so if you end up with shaking Steven's greatest hits its their fault. O:)
SERG_Troy
Lol. :P Unfortunately, like I said, they don't trust me. For that very reason. ;)
Rcty
The iTunes store has like two or three confirmation screens before you buy a song by default. You cannot "accidentally" buy something. ~Rcty Rcty
Cruiser
You shouldn't need a credit card number to register your Ipod. All registration is suppose to do is put it into the system that you now own that product with that serial number and they have a record of it if you ever send it in for warranty work. That's all I ever needed for my 3rd generation Ipod anyway. :?
SERG_Troy
Yeah, my brother and dad are the same way.. They didn't need a credit card number. Maybe it's because where I live? (Canada) I doubt it, but hey, it's possible. :P

Sometimes things are different in other countries, though... ~Rcty Rcty
SERG_Troy
Oh yeah. :o Didn't think of that. Anyways, I believe my brother has the same version Ipod as me.. 80GB Ipod Video. Ahh! This is so frustrating.
Rcty
I would think the registration procedures for all iPods (possibly some variations by countries) would be the same. Are you positive it says credit card number and not like product number or some type of iPod identification code? ~Rcty Rcty
SERG_Troy
It says credit card number. But I believe I found an alternative to it, not quite sure if it's working or not, but i'll see. :P What I did was register on the site, instead of via itunes. Then upon registering correctly, I log in on itunes, and sync my ipod, it's working at the moment, but I will see. ;) Thanks for all the help guys! ^_^
