Broodoo Shield charges

Featured Replies

I'm trying to add to my costume room, and this involves getting the three uncharged broodoo shields. I've been fighting monsters, wearing the shield, for a while, and I've only managed to get one of the ten charges on the melee shield to activate.

Is there any special way to use up the charges? I must be doing something wrong.

Well, the knowledge base states that the effect has a 1/10 chance of activating. Whether this means chance per hit, monster engagement, or year, I dunno. I just know that I've killed hundreds of rock crabs with the effect only activating once.

According to Tip.It:

The number in brackets shows the amount of special abilities left in the shield. The special ability happens at random during combat. For the Broodoo shield the special ability is like the curse spell, lowering your opponents defence level by 5%.

The effect is random, meaning you have NO way of activating charges yourself. Just keep fighting in melee with your shiled on and eventually they will run down to 0 charges.

BTW, where do you use shield in costume room?

Nm Found it.
