Updating graphics card.

Recommended Posts

Currently have Radeon X1300/X1550 Series (ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x7183))

Was looking to upgrade.

Don't care on the maker.

Price range is preferably under ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100...well less the better.

Thanks in advance. :)

I assume by the "̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100" he is in the UK so that newegg link is pointless.

if you can push to ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã103 then add the postage so about 112 I would reccomend:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... subcat=416

blows away anything else at the ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100-ish price range, and possibly got cheaper on other sites.

edit:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135760

̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã101 after p&p.

There isn't much which is cheaper and better - x1950PRO used to be a good budget card but the cheapest one I can find now is like ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã80 so no longer worth it, and the next step down is 7600gt/8600gt which are all like 50% of the speed of the hd3850 but like 70% of the price :?

I vote for the HD 3850, it's an excellent card and will blow anything in that price range away. It's a lot faster than the 8600GT(s) cards. It also supports DX 10.1 which none of the other cards in this price range will support.
