Question about new updates...

I do a lot of boss killing. It is my current way to fund anything and everything I do in Runescape. With the new unbalanced trades, is there going to be a way to split drops? I heard some say yes, and some no, but haven't actually found anything myself.

There's no direct way of splitting the drops now, but I understand that should someone else in the party gain a drop, the chances of you obtaining one next are increased quite dramatically.

apparently jagex is going to make a way to split the money from a drop through loot share.

apparently we can expect something 'in the first half of 2008' so don't hold your breath for anything in the near future. And yes, lootshare is the best we have atm, although in my experience it doesnt work at all for larger drops.

Lootshare is junk imo. It dosnt take the value of the item into account when its dropping the item, so say you and a buddy are at armadyl and your friend gets a arma helm, it then says your chance has improved, he gets another 4 kills and eventually you get your drop and its a......... rune xbow, it only increase your chance at getting a drop, not getting a expensive drop.

I'd say the best solution right now for you guys to do is:

 

 

 

Get a partner you know you're gonna be with for a while.

 

Specify and make clear with each other that whatever drops you guys get are your own(no sharing)

 

Use lootshare to "help" improve your chances of getting lott when they get good stuff.

 

 

 

It has a lot of flaws, but its probably the best way to boss fight without sharing drops, at least until Jagex unveils their sharing mechanism(dont hold your breath)
