Are jagex reluctant?

I was just thinking about scammers on P2P the other day.. Why do they pay $5 if they're just going to be banned? But then I though, maybe jagex are more reluctant to ban p2p accounts..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do you think jagex weighs the offence against the $5/m in members situations?

 

 

 

It seems entirely possible to me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Think about this- if someone was trying the scam on P2P, and someone was trying the exact same scam on F2P, would they both be banned, or would on the free player be banned?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm just speculating- but it seems possible.. :?

Well Jagex is corrupted in that respect in other ways, so it's entirely possible.

Definately. Not a single P2P player I've reported has been banned.

Ok , jagex does ban p2p members quite often and seemingly more often than f2p.

 

 

 

2 members of DI who will remain nameless made lvl 3 chars to see how fast they would be banned do racist comments in cath, took 1 hr till they where banned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(banned) abusive language to another player.

 

 

 

(6 monthes ban) char returned after jagex figured out not 200k for a d-med was not trade scamming.

myself (banned) char returned after 48 hrs. Jagex figured out it was a false report after they banned me. << can ya say [developmentally delayed]ed.

Yeah, I'm not saying they never do ban p2p, I'm saying that there is reason to suspect that they'd ban p2p more reluctantly than f2p, meaning that if a f2p were to say the same swears as someone on p2p, the f2p may be banned where the p2p is not, because jagex don't want to lose the $5/m from them.

They have definately slacked off on banning members, I think you'd have to hack the game code and almost destroy the entire game to get a perm ban nowadays. They dont even perm ban macroers anymore *bites lip and doesnt mention any names*

have in mind that alot people get reported in one day it will take a while to report all of them. when i played a thew years ago i use to get about 5 messages a week saying thank you for reporting (name) u have helped the runescape comunity blah blah blah From (name)

brr... reported quite a couple of scammers no reply msg in any sense.. so end of the day, no idea if that scammer get any pban.. :?
