Carcher
I have finished Regicide and with the rewards you can buy a Dragon Halberd. I'am tempted to buy one, but I want to know its worth it. Is there any good halberd methods to kill some monsters without being hit and is it an overall good weapon?

Is there any good halberd methods to kill some monsters without being hit and is it an overall good weapon? It is a good weapon, and most you can range you can use the D hally spec. The spec is very, very useful. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
iwontpk
I would only use it for it's special, it is just too slow, so if you frequently melee dragons, hell hounds or other large monsters then get it.
Carcher
Thank you for your replies. Oh and it would be nice to have a list of most monsters that can be use for halberd, so I won't get hit or not as much.

Hawt_box
Hallys are really useful for a select few slayer assignments, if you are willing to sacrifice speed for saving food Bloodvelds (Pro!) Fire Giants Trolls Nechryaels Gargoyles (to a certain extent) Dust Devils Black Demons Blue Dragons Well thats more than a select few... But you get the idea... General guideline: If you can range it, you can hally it My hawt blawggehDon't worry guys I freak out when I see a girl too. One time I went outside and there was a girl so I quickly ran inside because I was so excited!
Carcher
Hawt_box thank you for the list just want I needed. Maybe do some slayer now. Also sarge1010 I wasn't really going to buy it at the store. You need to finish Regicide to actually wield it, but I bet you already knew that? Dexek
Generally is it a very versatile and great weapon. I love using it for slayer. Not only do the specs regularly hit large amounts of damage, but accompanied with a black mask and it destroys most slayer tasks you can throw at it. It is especially useful for tasks with safespots. (Troll Generals are one of my favs). It is also good for selective training, especially if you can afford barrows armour or food to melee out in the open. I trained with the d-hally from 97-99 str at the fire giants in the Waterfall, and averaged 1k+xp per minute (str potted quite often). Enjoy it, and check a safespots guide for more ideas. : PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
