Recently finished Legends ^-^

 

 

 

The tip.it guild guide says that they have a good left-shield half drop rate. Is this true? How many would I have to kill? Like 500? errr, just give me a ballpark figure.

i get them for tasks for slayer and ive killed about 2k+ and had no left half but it could all be down to luck

I killed maybe 3k+ before I got one; obviously I was very lucky.

Ever notice how half the monsters in the tip.it bestiary drops left shield half?

 

I've gotten a bit skeptical about the monsters dropping time.

Years ago they were legendary for their left half drops. However, there's been many other monsters added since that drop them like metal dragons, dustdevils etc... (although anything that drops a gem could potentially drop a left half).

 

 

 

In my opinion, they're not worth hunting any more. They're simply not worth much now. In fact, the last one I found cost me money as I paid 750k for the other half and it sold on the grand exchange for less than that :(

 

 

 

anyway, I've had drops from;

 

Fire Giant (back when they were worth 1.5m)

 

Dust Devils (2)

 

Iron Dragons

 

Elves (2)

Its bad like most other monsters, and its not really worth having, its dropped down to it's alch value.

 

Off-topic- Once I got a left Half from a minotaur.

i killed around 3k in one trip (with guthans)

 

and not one

 

but i had a slayer task of 36 of em, 4th i killed i got one

 

it's completly random
