upthebanner Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 I have read a few theories as to how the mining system works regarding who gets the ore. My mining level (99) should allow me to beat all other players apart from other 99ers usually. I would expect to lose a certain ratio as it is a statistic based game. However when mining addy I appear to lose a high percentage. I also know that connection or internet speed is relevant as I have been beaten everytime on occasions by some lower level players particularly when powermining iron in dwarven mine. essiw Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 it isn't based on who should get the ore, its based on how fast you get the rocks when you mine normaly, so you could get it faster a few times with luck if you are lower then the other player but with things as iron etc. i think its rather the quickness on how fast you click on the ore then the lvl you got http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Captainkidd Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 As everything I log in and hop into the mining guild coal seems to be SO slow, but after a while it picks up, I belive there's a warm up affect...You need to do the skill for a little bit before your at full capascity(sp?). But it cannot work like that can it? It can't possible work like that. The only things i can think of is speed (how fast the ore is clicked), mining level and evidently luck. Probabilities are always in play when doing almost anything in runescape. Nevertheless, as your level increases the probability also increases, yet never reaches 1, otherwise we would have people getting all the ores or getting all the logs from a tree.
