Saru's Guide on how to do Barrows. Every way included!

 

 

 

This guide should help you decide. I personally use the slayer dart with guthans method, killing brothers and healing in tunnels as I need.

There are many ways you could to it, but I would recommend using slayer dart with either torags, guthans (for healing), veracs (good prayer bonus) or finally rune or dragon (I myself have just started barrowing again, and I'm using rune plate with dragon platelegs). I would go for veracs, as long as you don't mind the repair costs (and I mean veracs using slayer dart, not veracs using melee).

Seriously just use full rune with slayer dart. That's what I do and very easily at that and you have higher mage than me.

Equipment:

 

Neizoit helm, glory, rune plate & plate legs & kite, mystic boots, best RFD gloves, Slayer staff / Fire/ Air staff (+ Fire bolt runes)

 

 

 

Inventory 1:

 

Spade, Whip, DDS, 1 Prayer Pot, (200 slayer darts (Death+ Minds)/ 200 Fire bolt runes (Fire/ Air + Chaos)), A Pure Super set, Rest are lobsters.

 

 

 

Inventory 2:

 

Same as Inventory 1 but apply appropriate Super restores and Sara Brews and Prayer pot (Rate is 2:8:1)

That pretty good, but I would make a couple of changes. Firstly, I don't find theres need for a super strength when meleeing karil, just take the slot up with food. I would also replace mystic boots with dragon boots, as the mage bonus in barrows doesnt matter to much. Also, dragon skirts could replace the rune legs for extra defence. Plus, I wouldn't take lobsters with rune, you'll just about get hammered, take monks instead.

Well you're right too, but you might wanna consider his budget and his stats.

 

 

 

D skirt: Would be too heavy and penalitize your magic offence;

 

D boots: Go with preferences;

 

Strength Pot: Go with preferences;

 

Food: Go with preferences.

 

 

 

And...Tank maging is really easy to come out with good sets, I've done enough testing to suggest it as best cheapman gear. On a sidenote, I had gotten 2 spears using that set.

 

 

 

For advanced barrows-ers: Just swap plate and legs for barrows torso and legs, kite with Crystal shield/ DFS.

 

 

 

OMG I 4got to type d'hide set (Body/ legs) or mystic top/ bottom. Wear'em while dh, ahrims as usual.

 

 

 

And The prayer pot:Super restore:Prayer ratio should be....1:2:2-8 because you wana brew twice then restore once while fighting, while you exit to do another run you can brew any number of times you want then restore till it goes back to normal, OR brew twice (if you did 3 the restore wont recover), restore once, then prayer pot once. That leaves you 40~50 prayer points for DH, Karils or maybe Ahrims.
