Did Upset PKers Even Read News Posts?

First off, I didn't hear or learn about this game from Miniclip, so you might as well stop there.

 

 

 

 

Of course they're going to complain... for many pkers, pking was the MAIN REASON they played... now i assume you are a skiller since you seem to have so many negative sentiments towards pkers. Well what the eff would you do if Jagex changed skilling in such a way that it was no longer enjoyable to you, and then a week later they posted that they would change it to give you back some enjoyment... you just have to wait 6 months... 6 months is a long time, especially in a video game. Do you have any idea how much in Runescape you can do in six months?? That is pretty much 6 months wasted for those who only enjoy single pvp.

 

 

 

I'm not complaining, because I just don't play until the 1 v 1 comes out.... But all I can say is that jagex better do it right, because many pkers subscriptions ride on it.

 

 

 

Also i think you seriously underestimate the number of subscriptions jagex gets from pkers... I myself have had 5 different subscriptions running at the same time. Many pkers have multiple subscriptions, and are far more likely to have multiple subscriptions then just a skiller.

 

 

 

I already have this discussion going on in the Debate Club, so I won't bother answering it except in a nutshell. Skills are what sets Runescape apart from other things. Not anything PvP.

Anyone hear the phrase that Anticipation is half the fun of something? The other have would be the actual thing you're waiting for, but that saying is true even if you don't realize it. Speculating about things and trying to figure out what it will be like is sometimes better than the actual thing, or maybe even always.

 

 

 

Take Summoning as an example. JaGex is putting a lot of hype on it, half the threads in the forum are about it. I betcha once its out for a month or so that hype will just die right down.

 

 

 

And guess what, I don't hate PKing, not in any way. Just what PKing has become, an obsession, something not good. Is it wrong to have an obsession within an obsession? (PKing within Runescape)

 

 

 

In fact, I think PKing is vital to the economy. I should say was vital though. When one business grows, other businesses grow to support it.

 

 

 

Pking grew, they needed potions, Herblore grew. They needed food, Cooking and fishing grew. If they need armor, mining and smithing right up there. If they're mages or rangers, fletching and runecrafting. I don't hate PKing, but its removed, and I'm dealing with it. If skills were removed, I'd learn to deal with it.

THE GAME STARTED OFF WITH PLAYER KILLING AND NOTHING ELSE! if you look at old pictures you HARDLY see people skilling...you see them killing each other. that's why varrock guards even existed to begin with, to stop player killers from pking each other in town.

 

 

 

you're such a fool..."it's become an obsession". stfu...it's what runescape started on...and it's really what sets RS apart from other games. "the skills set rs apart"...how the hell can you even say that? everytime something new comes out people's immediate thoughts are "omfg RS is copying WoW". the fact is, other games copy each other...but what RS had that other games did not was the unique pking style. RS is the only MMO i know that even had a player killing system the way it did...so on the contrary, pking is what set it apart from other games.

 

 

 

i don't give a dam about any new updates....anticipation is not half the fun of something. you want the fun in something? roll back every update since desert treasure and RS will be the funnest it's ever been (besides RSC pking of course).

How about you give up skilling for the next six months until Jagex's so called 1 vs. 1 'alternative' comes out? 100M says you can't do it. Yet you seemingly expect many of us PK'ers-- Who basically played solely to PK-- To do just that? Gimme' a break!

Right now, PKing isn't here as you knew it. Just...learn to deal with it. This thread was just about wondering if Pkers ever read, and if they did, why be upset when their riots worked?

 

 

 

All right. I'll give up skilling for 6 months. Won't do anything but combat. Nothing at all. I'll keep that promise unless you were joking. Also, if this happened to Skills and I said the same to you about PKing, would you do it? By the way, I could, but I really don't want to. Who would? Yeah yeah, you'll respond with PKing something.

 

 

 

All right then, how about this? (Note: EDIT) Neither Skills Nor Pking should've been removed. I'm just saying that they were, and its coming back in some way, weather its different or not.

Notice the rioters, all they want is PKing back, they usually say now as well.

 

 

 

Those are the same people who were too selfish and ignorant to realize how real world trading was affecting the game and the company irl. Either that, or they were the pkers/stakers who were purchasing gold everytime they were cleaned.
