1.121~~ because of the calculation error the most expensve is now the compost mound at 88gp\xp and as such i changed the total price of summoning

1.12~~ fixed a huge mistake in my calcualtions i had the macaw priced at 111gp\xp ea when in reality it is 54gp\xp ea this is a very big mistake and a great thanks too Olliegod for finding it.

1.1~~made a new table showing the future "reduced prices" cost

[ @# ]The Splinters of summoning

for like the last hour i calculated the gp/xp of every last summoning monster (jsut to make the pouches)

i ONLY did gp/xp for the shards alone I DID NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE SECONDS

anyways wht i found is that the cheapest you will ever get summoning to 99 is by the spirit daganaoth, whos shard gp\xp game out to be 0.14 gp/xp. now u cant do dags till ur lv 82 wich is 2,421,087xp so u still got about 11m xp to go...if you could do these from lv 1 (but because of the "2m xp" needed it will be more) to 99 it would still cost u 1,787k...now if u bought the daganoth hides (about 36k of em) that would be 36m...but 36k hides would not be to hard to get...the charms would be the worst.

the most expensive way to 99 would be useing the compost mound to lv whos total gp\xp price comes to a woophing! 88gp\xp

u can create compost mounds pouches at lv 28summoning ..if u were to train from lv 1-99 useing compsot mounds[hide=side comment] (the most expensive gp\xp.... this is even is worse than rune minotaurs + bars together although they surpriseingly only go to about 16gp\xp with bars)[/hide] it would cost a huge 1,147,656,840......considering max gp in bank is only around 2.14b that is an unbelivable amount to train a skill just to 13mxp.....no where near the coveted 200m cap that locks you into place

[ @#.1 ]that means the price range from 1-99 could be AT ITS LOWEST a small 1,787k all the way to 1.14b with the minum of this increased by at least 3-12m(barker toads and war totoises) and thus they are the splinters of summoning..aka the one thing that sticks to it most people call it the "catch"

EDIT: when the price of shards get halved this rpice will change as the spirit daganoth's gp\xp rate goes down to .07 and the compost mound goes down to 44gp\ea wich makes the NEW PRICE RANGE

912k to a smaller but still massive 573.8m

[ @$ ]~~off topic my comments~~

now obviously u wouldnt train construction with magic crystals as u wouldnt train summoning with compsot mounds. but in a sense were i only have shown the MAIN ingredient and havent even gotten to the seconds? i mean seriously..this is not like con were we get xp per plank it all depends on wht we make. i do love this new skill it seems very interesting but i belive as im sure the majority of runescapers that this is gone a bit far. i dont mind this skill by its expense, eventualy we will all get there if we play long enough. but unlike con we not only have a huge price but of course the minumom of around 36k "charms" to get...and to get 100 can take hours.

i can understand why they put the charms in. basicaly so the rich couldn't buy the skill all from the ge theyd have to spend a month or 2 collecting "charms" but this skill will be one skill that deffinatly favors the "dead" ,but still rich, merchants of the land.

and for my last few words.. iron minotaurs...it jsut so happens i have 18k iorn bars in my bank that i thought i could use to train my summoning way up..there avrg gp rate was 16gp\xp..the total cost just to gain about 7.4mxp would be about 144m...i just scratch a third of that useing my net wealth (about 50m)

[ @% ]~~~work~~~

i know many peopl have posted rants about prices but this is just to give a general idea of the prices. i have also decided to include my "work" of gp\xp for each summoning monster (shards only)

feel free to use it any way u like weather it be for personal uses or to make a guide. just please give me credit dont take it as your own it did take quite awhile to finish

again this is to get a general understanding of the prices per familiar. it may help you understand what not to go with or what is somethign good to go with that wont make u send million out of the game.

[ @%.1 ]

[hide=i did not add second for 2 reasons]

1.) seconds mabye be bought or picked yup easyly converted into the gp\xp form take rune minotaurs for example rune minotaur/50/756.8--0.066gp/xp great if u got a few k ruen bars laying around but chances are you dont so if we take 12k normal price of a ruen bars and divde that by 756.8 (so we can get gp\xp that it lends) then we add the .066 to the gp\xp of ruen bar we get about 16-17gp\xp....about the sma price as numerous other familiars the only diffence is that you would make less trips to altar and of course level faster....o yea did i mention ud need less charms too? thats a ig bonus

2.) this is a general understanding of how much it will cost no matter what..there is now way to make it cost less than 1.44b if u make macaws...this way you ahve a general idea of the minumum ud spends if u got your own ingredients...a good way to paln it out aswel not to mention seconds may flucuate just like herblorel[/hide]

IMPORTANT! this may effect the cost of some mosnter. this skill (if they actualy half the price) will be ALOT easyer to train so some thigns are most likely to get nerfed or remain the same as previous version or worse

Well this does help a little, but you really need to facture the seconds. They be the main reason not to use that monster for training. Like the bull ant the requires marigold, it looks like a good deal, but you know how hard it would be to even get the marigold?

true i agree with u fully but the main reason is there are some players out there that woul actually get all the ingredients....yes the bul lant is one example that would be almost impossible but take a look at the bronze minotaur i belive its 17gpea....there are a few shops in rs that sell bronze bars or like 20 ea so it might raise the price to 18gp\xp but its worth it cause its quick

yes and no depends on wht u make but that first 2m xp is a killer.....

in all honesty daganoth hides are not very ahrd to get its a great way to go.

i ehar alot of peopl freaking out about the rune minotaur like omg wht a wast no 1 will ever train with it.....well if you area hi lv smither pricsilla for exaple u may have a few k rune bars laying around.....factor rune bar price into the gp\xp i thik rune minotaurs are only like 15-16gp\xp.....same as iorn or bronze exept ud havt to do less laods to lv..and obviously ud have less pouches

once again im good with numbers not words..and i type faster than i should sry -.-

Well the rune minotaurs seem more useful in combat than for grinding purposes along with a lot of the other things.

this is an incredibly useful thread, good job! it does indeed go to show that there is cheaper xp at higher levels, particularly the monsters that only cost 1 shard each

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

Ya i think you really have to factor in the secondary ingredients cause thats actually where most of the costs lie.

For example you say compost mounds are the most expensive method but in reality they arent that expensive because the compost are really easy to get (buy from shops).

Other secondary ingredients such as mith, addy, or rune bars are a lot more expensive. However the reason they are more expensive is because the charms give you a lot of experience.

Making a mithril minotaur will give you 580 experience in comparison to Granite Crabs which only gives 21.6 experience. Therefore one Blue Charm = 26.8 Gold Charms. So Basically more expensive pouches will generally save you time on collecting charms.
