Checksum error!! WTF!

Is it just me or is it that every time there is a big update I get a checksum error when the game is loading. It is loading interfaces and then; checksum error, wait 5 secs; checksum error, wait ten secs; game updated please reload game.

If bits get goofed during transmission then they can sometimes be fixed

 

 

 

if there aren't too many that are goofed.

 

 

 

If there are too many that are goofed then the packet must be resent.

I got broad band. And it only happens every other update. So I'm just hoping Jagex updates again this week so I can play over the weekend.

I got it to work by using the windows client and using it. So now I'm good in between updates.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If someone could tell me why it worked I'd be interested to know.
