Recksash
My idea has a few sections. They make the skill more fun, while keeping the skill a money drain (Jagex sure as heck isn't changing that) This is a combat stat... Shift the emphasis away from pouch-making and toward combat. Making pouches should give exp, but you should get better at summoning familiars, by summoning them Quality, not quantity Instead of having to buy several hundred/thousand shards/ consumable pouches, why not just buy one, reusable pouch. Spirit Wolf Pouch-free (it's the first one...) Dread Fowl-50k Spirit Spider-100k And so on. These pouches could only be bought from npcs. So buying a new familiar is like buying a weapon that uses prayer. I think both of my ideas reduce most of players' worries. Summoning would still be expensive (abiet not as much as before) and not be a buyable skill. Constructive criticism is appreciated. -Reck Politics,n. Will H
Although that it does sound that actually summoning the creature should give the main xp, I can't agree with the reusable pouches. I think summoning was meant to be a bit harder than that. I know that it's tough getting shards and all, but that's what you have to live with. We ain't nerfing this beauty. ~ W ~

Theoknight2
getting shards isn't the hard part, its getting the fricking CHARMS!
magicmagicy
getting shards isn't the hard part, its getting the fricking CHARMS! They probably did it on purpose. The harder and longer the skill takes to lvl to 99, people will still have a goal, therefore continue to pay for that membership.
