My first few pixels.

Saturated colours are colours that are very bright, the colours you used for the sky and the snake for example. Usually, it isn't a good idea to use too much of them in a signature.

Yes, bumps in the sand would be a good idea. I also meant you could add more of the brown dots you made, in different shades of brown maybe.

I agree with Jopie.

Texture-you need to have more of different shades of brown in your sand, to make it look like its really a bunch of grains.

Saturated Colors- get away from the default colors

Also:

-The perspective seems messed up. There's little deminition in it (did I spell that right :XD: ) and it almost looks like the snake's tail is in the air. Remember that vanishing points can be very important in these kind of pixels.

-The camels are too large for being on the horizon (goes with above)

-the cactus's shading is a little off, make it go down a bit more.

Not bad for a first pixel, though!

yaff thats just boosting the colour count too unnessicarily, it defys the purpose of pixel art. If you want to do that that why not try digital painting? If its pixel art you're interested in look into ways of making the most of your palette, I know these are words that are thrown around alot but using AAing and dithering are both great ways to give the illusion of more colours when trying to work to a restriction.
