Oh well, i dont like the idea either.. but.. Runescaoe is not placed in a specific timezone, and it never will be. Common, we have cannons and electricity. Also, kalphites are bugs that don't like the desert climate, thats why they hide underground. Maybe u noticed that the desert effect is off in the kalphite caverns? Look on walls of buildings, there are torches. tch, obviously theres a benjamin franklin quest somewhere in that list. also cannons have been around since leonardo da vinces day (i remember some tv show where they tested a weapon he designed to try to replace cannons, a cannon ball fireing crossbow that needed 16tons to pressure to fire [it was huuuge!]) last thing, copyright issues. well 'the abyss' itself is copyrighted. I mean, what would be the incentive to leave the abyss area? If Jagex did this, they might as well just stop developing the main game and rename it "Abyss". The only good thing about this is, it would syphon the noobs out of the main world and let the real players actually do the things they want in peace.
