New forum problems regarding blogs

Featured Replies

Ok first thing I've done when I got back was go to the blogscape forums. Seems like it my first page (and the posts of other people ) along with numerous other pages have gone.

Question one: How can I get my first post back? I have the first post on the new first page but that doesn't influence the title of the blog thus leaving me with a problem...

Question two: I can't see any of the smileys (neither the old nor the new). All I see are little squares with dots in them while all the options about smileys are on.

Question three: This is a notice as much as a question. Some titles in blogscape have weird signs in them and I think it is caused by malfunction of alt-codes? You might want to check it out :)

And sorry if this is the wrong forum, not sure where to put it anymore, the boards seems so messy.

Some of those problems are caused from the forum software changing.

But as the news post says, they're working to restore it.

I can't help with your 2nd and 3rd questions but for the 1st one, search google with "Wouter828 blog site:forum.tip.it"

Then click "Cache" under the links you want to look at. The first seach option should give you a view of your old first page. It was last updated May 24th, so you should get most of it back.

Check the main website for Tip.it. There was help recently about finding blogs on Google in order to recover information. If you do that, you may be able to recover lost information.

That's a problem occurring right now but there are other bugs being fixed. It should be fixed soon though but it isn't an imminent threat to your well being on these forums.

Moderators already know of this and hopefully it will be fixed in the future.

Hope that helped a bit.

Ok question 2 and 3 are clear. Question one however: I am not missing any information, I've got it all in a notefile. However, blogs work like this, you post an update then you can update the title on the 1st post to make it so it is seen as the name of you blog. Seeing as I have no first post, I cannot change the title either.

Your first post was deleted? I'd suggest messaging an administrator then so that they should be able to create a new one for you at the top of the thread.
