pretty sure this is a bug ive seen in tons of rs vids and even while playing it tons of people are following 1 person and people with no one around them just start randomly flashing can anyone explain this or has it happened to anyone :?

It's probably an effect added into the video, or something that happens when recording videos.

Noo...I have seen it happen at multiple TET events. Everyone follows the leader, and because there are sometimes 25+ people in one tile space, some people seem to "jump ahead" or "fall behind" or sometimes randomly flash around between the two. Also, sometimes you see other characters flash in and out in the same spot without "jumping". Is this what you are talking about?

Exactly !! Ive witnessed many of this effect during clan wars etc. Its not a video effect. ;] Thx for explaining.

im no expert but its probably just a minor lagg caused by so many people moving in the same square.

It's because they're partially under someone else, and they're not stepping at the exact same pace so one flashes between visible and not. It's kinda like lag.
