cat666
OK so I have lost: 1. My Runescape Blog 2. My funky 70's Gene (Life on Mars) avatar 3. My 1000 post count which I'd just achieved. However this is a mere pitance compared to what others have lost so I was wondering what have you lost? and what are you going to do to replace it? and if you will learn anything from this. For mine: 1. I have a copy from Google Cache which is 2 weeks old. Luckily in that 2 weeks I was barely on and had a few notes with which I could piece together most. 2. Blessing in disguise maybe as now I have a cool 80's Gene (Ashes to Ashes) avatar. 3. Post count means nothing, I can get it again easily. I have learned to make a back up locally of any important/long forum post. If I ever write a guide I will host pictures myself and link to them as not to lose them. Please note this is not the rants topic. I know it's annoying especially if you've lost lots but at the end of the day what's done is done and you cannot change that. So please do not rant here, this topic is purely to rally round and support those who have lost data and hopefully we shall all learn lessons. Trust the Gene Genie! krisc6
2. My funky 70's Gene (Life on Mars) avatar I remember that avatar, was pretty sweet being that i am a life on mars fan. I think i lost 300 or so posts?not entirely certain Other than that what i lost is menial compared to work from tipit staff that could possibly be lost.2 and a half months is a long time for web development/maintenance and tip.it is always developing and updating so a lot of stuff would have been threatened by a rollback. mervinator_9
i lost my entire account but as it was only 1 1/2 months old so i can redo the post count and such, i think the real thing i lost and others lost were our shared opinions its a shame some of the recent heated debates and such have been cut short and lost lets just be thankful it was just 3 months worth and no more, by the sounds of it, it could have been much worse Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs. Tom_Servo
All I can say is at least not everything on the forums was 'completely' lost.
