acidcantdie Posted May 22, 2005 Share Posted May 22, 2005 Prayer Ok we all know that prayer is useful but there are only 3 really good things about it and thats the protection prayers. These are my ideas on what should follow and what levels needed. Lightning Speed (Level 46): You run x2 faster. This prayer does NOT work while in the wilderness. This will help all them runecrafters getting from point A to B a bit faster and not spending too much time walking. It does not reduce your energy aswell. Aim (Level 49): Increases ranged attacks by 15%. They have one for attack, defence and strenght so thats 3 things for melee and none for range. This makes it more fair. Mana (Level 52): Increases Magical attack by 15%. Same reason as above. Looting (Level 55): Increases chance of getting a rarer drop from a monster by 15%. This prayer does not go away like normal prayer but you lose a certain amount of prayer points with every kill you make when its on. Like the ring of wealth it does not give a higher chance of getting a clue scroll. Poison Cure (Level 58]: The affects of poison are stopped while this prayer is on. The damage of the poison will go down like usual. This will help all those people who are running frantically to a bank to save all their stuff. Arial Attacks (Level 61): Protection from both magical and ranged attacks. Not as strong as the single ones so it makes it fair. This would mainly be used in the wildy. Firebreather (Level 64): Protection from all dragon breathe attacks, even without shield. With the shield you'll be more protected though. This would hopefully make more people go for dragonbones and decrease the shocking prices of dragon bones. Knockback (Level 67): 25% of all damage done to you will be hit back on the attacker. Since it is hard to get to 67 prayer this would be useful. Plus the ring of recoil is not very useful. When used with ring of recoil it still hits 25% back not 35%. Note I know your wondering why not have protection from mage and melee or ranged and melee. Well this would make the Kalaphite and all dragons way too easy. No monster would stand up to you in that case. Magic Wind strike, Water Strike, Earth Strike, Fire Strike. Wind Bolt, Water Bolt etc. Its repetitive, all the attacking spells are just elemental and I think there should be something alot different which also makes better use of some runes. Dark magical spells would be great, it would make better use of the levels after 80 and they would be alot more popular. Shadow Wave (Level 82): This shoots a wave of dark forces at your oppenent. It hits max 24 and needs the following runes to cast. (3 blood runes, 4 body runes, 4 earth runes) Elemental Force (Level 85): This is all the elements (fire, wind, earth and water) all in one. So your basically using all the attacking spells from before to make a cool new one. It hits a max of 25 and 1 in every 10 spells causes knockback for 3 seconds. The following runes are needed to cast. (3 blood runes, 3 fires, 3 airs, 3 waters, 3 earths) Blindness (Level 85): Reduces range by 10%. This is fair because they have ones for meleers and not rangers. Recall (Level 88]: This is a teleportation spell that teleports you to the last spot you where in from the last 5 minutes. Example, If you were in Wilderness level 18 and you teleported to varrock you could teleport back to there using this spell. It only takes you to where you teleported previously from so you cant go past level 20 wilderness. You need the following runes to cast the spell. (4 Laws, 10 Airs, 3 Body Runes) Places you cant do recall from: In runecrafting altars (or anywhere near them) The cannon shop (so you cant cheat and get a new one) Kalaphite Lair King Black Dragon Lair Near any orb charging spots Drained (Level 88]: Reduces magic by 10%, same reason as above. The mage will still be able to do all spells just hit lower. This makes it more fun in a mage war. Fishing There is a huge gap between Swordfish and shark 50 to 76. I have an idea for a fish, The Barracuda. This would be caught like swordfish, using a spear. Fishing Level To Catch: 61 Cooking Level To Cook: 61 Xp Each Caught: 125 Xp Each Cooked: 135 Heals: 16 Other fish caught while fishing for Barracuda: Swordies, Tuna As I said before there is a huge gap between swordfish and sharks so it gives people something else to catch, and a chance to make some more cash. Ranged Before you think I'm another nut who wants range to be stronger well your wrong.... Kinda. Im suggesting new types of bows called centered. With this you can center them with bones to make them more defensive (not more powerful), this will be good cause rangers have low armour rating out there. When making the bow you can tip it with different bones. Example you could make a Magic Long Bow (D). (D) standing for dragon bone. You can only equip with dragon bones. But the fletching levels are 3 levels higher to add the bones. Example: Maple longbow is level 55 Maple longbow (D) would be level 58 Magic longbow is level 85 Magic longbow (D) would be level 88 This applys to all bows. And it helps in defence for rangers in these ways: Stab: +5 Slash: +5 Crush: +5 Magic: +20 Range: +20 This would help rangers alot more. Theiving To me thieving is one of the most annoying, boring stats ever. So instead of creating new things to thieve I thought of a mini game which brings your gangs (blackarm and pheonix) alot more. The game is called Theif. Introduction: This game will be put underground between the blackarm gang and the pheonix gang. You can enter by going down a ladder in your gang. You will be put into the 2 teams (you can choose). You will be put into a huge castle area, lots of things to hide behind. The area will be open like the castle wars but smaller. There will be ladders but it will be to small areas so not much hiding. The aim is to thieve from your oppenent. The game lasts 5 minutes. Each person is given 3 Gold Plates which they have to protect. If someone trys to thieve you, you can run away or try thieve them back. If you steal a gold plate your team scores a point and the gold dish you get, evaporates. The team that gets the most plates wins. The score will NOT be shown so people dont quit halfway through. Once you are out of plates you cannot steal anymore. You watch for the rest of the match. Also you cannot go for one person. Once you have stolen a plate from one person you cannot get them till the game is over. Chances of getting plates depend on your thieving. If you thieve from a low level you got a better chance than going for someone alot higher. Awards: Like castle wars you receive tickets, each ticket is worth 105xp If your team wins you receive 5 tickets For each steal you make you receive 1 ticket If you make the highest amount of steals you win 5 tickets If you make the highest amount of steals for your team you win 3 tickets This would seriously help thieving and not make it boring. Slayer Slayer is basically a useless stat to make more people become members. It's a non combat stat that doesn't give you any cash until your a high level! Once your high enough it still takes a while for something good! I think slayer should have rewards for each monster you kill, you receive this after you done the quest from the slayer master. Level 20<: 50gp each kill Level 21-40: 100gp each kill Level 41-70: 150gp each kill Level 71-100: 210gp each kill Level 101-140: 300gp each kill Level 141-200: 450gp each kill Level 200+: 850gp each kill So if you killed 100 fire giants (Level 87) You would receive 21k cash. Better than nothing. You only receive the cash if you kill them ALL. If you kill 50 Kalaphite workers it does not count as 50 Kalaphite queens. Emotes I think the emotes we got now suck. Nobody uses them and I know why they don't. Who the hell needs a no emote? Is it really that hard to write 2 letters? I also think we should change the dancing emote so it doesnt look like your doing something naughty <_< I got no ideas on what new emotes could be but atleast some good ones. Maybe raising your sword like in rage or aiming your bow into the air and shooting arrows out would be cool. limpxbizkid Posted May 22, 2005 Share Posted May 22, 2005 i agree with the more prayer items, it doesnt really accomadate all the people with high prayer. though im not to sure about one that increases rare drops. i mean, theres already a ring, and i dont think the ecconamy could take a 15% increase in rare items. I don't agree with your ranged ideas though, I think we have too many bows as it is, and also, I think the better prayers should have a higher lvl to use. Still, these ideas would work well in RS. Also, the emotes definitely need an overhaul, that's a fact. I agree that the Dance one looks...wrong, like your character is shaking a turd out of his pant leg.
