  1. The Strokes saved good music. Back in 2001, nu-metal bands such as this joke band were about to take over the world due to their insane popularily. Until The Strokes released Is This It, and suddenly indie was cool again. Crap like Bizkit, Linkin Park, and Papa Roach pissed off never to be seen again, whereas indie music is enjoying a good period again. Hopefully we never see [bleep] Durst ever again.
  2. I love Muse. They're one of the best bands that ever lived, but that song is crap. You should try Hysteria, Plug In Baby and Map Of The Problematique for good Muse intro's. My vote would be either Juicebox by the Strokes or Morning Glory by Oasis.
  3. Good choice. And is that Bowie in your avatar?
  4. Yeah, you heard me right. I don't call a joke band, who are Chas and Dave for students, with a fake cockney singer who released pop song after pop song in the mid nineties a good band. I agree with you about Sum 41 though, what [cabbage] they are.
  5. Okay, you might not like them, but thats a bit extreme. Are you seriously saying Green Day are worse than bands such as Busted, Blur, and Fall Out Boy?! Nearly as bad, it hurts more because they USED to be pretty good... What? Are you scared of a band taking a new direction of music? Weren't you bored of the same releases over and over again?
  6. Mastodon, Slayer, and Pearl Jam = Emo fest? Ah, I could have sworn that Panic, Aiden, and Fall Out Boy all played on the fri. That would have brought the total up.
  7. Apart from the Emo fest on the first day, it was a great festival. Muse blew everyone else away there, confirming that they are the best band to see live right now.
  8. Okay, you might not like them, but thats a bit extreme. Are you seriously saying Green Day are worse than bands such as Busted, Blur, and Fall Out Boy?!
  9. Except none of them are actually punk. It's laughable you have the Kooks, who are a pop band, and Snow Patrol, who still belt out Fran Healy E-Sides in your list claiming to be punk. Anyway I can recommend: Oasis REM Muse The Strokes Radiohead Best five bands in the world in my opinion.
  10. Yeah, then it all got boring from then on. Same lyrics, same song message, and same music from every song. It got very boring.

    Football!

Yeah, it was great to see Chelsea lose, gives me hope for the rest of the season. It was equally as great to see Ole back in amongst the goals!
  12. "Songs on the radio all sound the same!" According to Johnny Borrel. But anyway, I remember, about a year ago, you couldn't turn on Radio One without listening to Do You Want To by Franz Ferdinand. Not that i'm complaining, it was one of the better songs released last year.
  13. Oasis. Definitely Maybe and Whats the Story are pure perfection. Second and third place would go to R.E.M. and Muse.
  14. Seems pretty harsh to take it away from Zidane after he's won it and everything. But oh well, Cannavaro was the best player in the WC in my opinion.
  15. Lol! Sounds like the bullet didn't take any other lucky deflections either.
