Songs being played to much on the Radio

Featured Replies

Well the stations i listen to (97.5, 96.3, 103.5, 103.7) i remember alot of songs that were always played all the time or at the same time  It was so annoying! I listened to Kelly Clarkson 7 times in 30mins! I hated it.

We got some variaty in our stations here, though I must say it's been a while since I listened to the radio, so I wouldn't really know how it is now.

"Songs on the radio all sound the same!" According to Johnny Borrel.

But anyway, I remember, about a year ago, you couldn't turn on Radio One without listening to Do You Want To by Franz Ferdinand. Not that i'm complaining, it was one of the better songs released last year.

z100 = yo, i get drunk party, yo 50 cent. money baby yo drugs yeah!

green day was really, really overplayed. and im talking about all their "its cool to be anti-bush" songs which most of the listeners didnt even know what they were about. thats all mtv + z100 played at the time... and yeah someone mentioned kelly clarkson. also alot of those dance songs with the really high pitched wisper voice sung by like mariah carey and stuff.

thats why i listen to 104.3... classic rock.

Erm, that "I had a bad day" song.

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

"Unfaithful" by Rihanna.. I liked it the first few times I heard it, but then they just wouldn't stop playing it.. Now I can't stand the song.. :wall:

I rarely ever listen to the radio anymore. Too many commercials. The music my station plays is nearly always good music though, but I hate those talking shows on the radio. I don't care about what Kelly's opinion about the new song is darn it.

So now it's always a mix of the music on my computer, or just a CD.

Hehe, a friend of mine used to play that song over and over again. And that hit from James Blunt as well. :| Oh well, at the time she was my girlfriend, so I claimed I liked those songs too :-w

The radio station I listen to, JJJ http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/ doesn't really play 'mainstream' music, so it's cool listening to different music. The only other station I listen to is one made by a school near where I live. Plays all the good music, none of that Kelly Clarkson, old music crap.

All songs that are played on the radio are played on the radio too much.

Turn the radio off!

:P

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

I haven't listened to the radio since the drop it like its hot incident :ohnoes:

I listen to 89.9, 105.5...

But man, they overplayed the songs "Have a bad day" By Danial Powter and that James Blunt song...not that i ever liked James Blunt.

Gnarls Barckly - Crazy

Kelly Staten - You got the love

James BLunt - Wisemen

There are more but I only can think of these, from most to least

I never listen to the radio, pretty much because every song you hear is overplayed pap. I even disconnected the radio in my car so people couldn't try and switch it on if they were in the passenger seat.

If i'm listening to music, i'd rather it were from my own collection.

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

Hah! I didn't listen to the radio for a long time after that! But now that it's gone, I feel it's pretty safe to listen to the radio again...

What is the " drop it like its hot incident "?

You listen to 'the hack' much?

anyhow, i'm not big on listening to the radio. i'll usually have a cd in and be listening to that. but whenever i do have the radio on, 'Love Generation' always plays at least once. And it's on the mix at work, so I hear it about 10 times there easily. Really starts to bug me.

What is the " drop it like its hot incident "?

When they started playing 'Drop It Like It's Hot' by Snoop Dog all the time.. I couldn't stand that song.. Can it even be considered a song?

Yeah, that drop it like its hot is pretty gay. Same with the 'its getting hot in here so take off all your clothes'.. That song took a while to go away.

I'll agree with Powter's Bad Day and *any* Blunt song. They were alright in the beginning until it just got annoying.

I heard Powter sing on American Idol. He's overrated.

I thought drop it like it's hot was a pretty cool song. It's getting hot in here by Nelly was indeed very overplayed and it wasn't a very good song either. But that Nelly feat. Kelly from Destiny's Child son was even worse, and got played more often as well.
