  1. Going on some political tirade isn't any reason to suspect he would have a weapon. Even if for some reason they did think he had a weapon, it would have become clear he didn't when he was pinned on the ground for a few minutes by a couple cops. It would have been slightly different if they had used to taser to actually restrain him, though still unjustified, but at the point they did taser him he was restrained and clearly no real danger to anyone. They had restrained him but were trying to put the cuffs on, and he wouldn't budge so they tased... The other option was getting beaten with one of their sticks cause he sure as hell wasn't moving.
  2. So I've thought about it a lot more and actually completely changed my opinion: Think about the 20 kids at Virginia Tech who died... What if that kid had pulled out a gun, or a knife? He deserved what he got, and I think the cops using over-aggressive force is okay in a situation like that, ESPECIALLY with all the shootings that are going on now. The cops shouldn't be responsible for what that student was capable of.
  3. I think they were real officers. Best opinion I've heard on the subject, quoted from a friend: Excuse the language.
  4. Yeah, but you can't make a judgment on all "American Police" based on this instance, or based on any for that matter.
  5. Lots of people act like prats but that doesn't mean that they should all be tasered.
  6. Yeah but the kid wasn't pulling a gun out and about to shoot John Kerry... He just wanted to know the answers to a question. I know what he did wasn't right, but there could have been other ways of preventing. He did say "If you let go of me I'll walk out."
  7. I know man, it's seriously disgusting. The cops are charging him with resist of arrest... Lulz?
  8. Read the title of that thread. It's called "Trivial etc.", and I obviously know it's there. This isn't trivial and I want discussion, go away.
  9. If you look at that, it seems really terrible. But watch this one: It seems more justified, but still really terrible. Discuss.
  10. I'm 100% pro-choice. I think that it's your right as a human individual to do whatever you want since it's your life, and no one should be able to control you. I think it's your right to kill babies, and I think it's your right to walk up to people and stab them in the heart. I think that it's your right to catch your neighbors' houses on fire, and I think it's your right to run people over who walk in front of you on the street. I think it's your right to steal from stores that overcharge you for items, and I think that it's your right to harass anyone who ever bothers you. It's your right because you're a human and an individual and no one should be able to tell you otherwise. Ever.
  11. Dude that's pretty exciting! I've met a couple of my internet friends before and it was seriously awesome. I hope you two have fun. :P
  12. I agree 100%. The first Dumbledore was perfect. Sort of that happy, carefree, cute old man type. Exactly how I had imagined Dumbledore to be. Surprisingly, the replacement they found is the exact opposite of the original. He's much more harsh, blunt and less of a cute happy wizard :XD: Yes! It bothers me so much, but I try to deal with it. :P
  13. Wow this is the best topic ever. :P
  14. Way better than all of the others, I loved it. :P
  15. I don't really mind if it's left as it is, or made into a sub-forum. I just think that the merging idea is terrible.
  16. Do you actually feel terrible?
  17. Roflz, watch out for them drains!
  18. Besides others that have already been suggested, check out Run-DMC and A Tribe Called Quest. Eminem also, but I'm sure you have heard of him.
  19. It looks like it's going to be filmed the same was as Blair Witch Project, which means it'll probably give me a headache. But it seems cool either way.
