When i play any games that uses the control key i get a flash ring around my pionter. It messes me up on online play half the time. My cousin was playing around with my mouse pionters couple weeks ago. I should realy not let any1 go on my computer anymore

I did what you said, it wasn't there  . I'm using mx510 logitech mouse with the drivers and stuff, so it might be different from the "normal" mouse.

Any other ideas please? It lost me the #1 spot on call of duty yesterday

Are you sure it isn't there? I don't see why it wouldn't be... you might want to check. It is on the very bottom

just checked again, not there :x . I asked a freind, he said he doesn't know how to fix it. He did say it's called something to "locate" the mouse pionter, if that gives any mroe info at all.

I am guessing it does it while your at your desktop and you hit control as well, right?

edit: in your control panel do you have anything relating to your mx 550 or whatever you have?

yes It does do ti while i'm at my desktop.

I do not have anything relating to my mx 510 in the control panel, just the normal mouse page. When i go into that, it does have costom setting for my mouse. None that would fix that problem (like merc suggested). I looked and loocked all over setting in there, nothing  .

Manual > *

Take a look in the manual for your mouse then, because all i can think of is the driver modifies the options and stuff. If it isnt where i said then it has changed somewhow. Either look in the manual or get your mate to put it back.

After a bit of googling, it seems that logitech are being miserable with regards to this and other users have complained about the lack of this functionality in their mouse options panels. Apparently the solution is to uninstall the logitech mouse software and use the default miscrosoft mouse software, where the option will be avaliable.

I searched around for a bit to see if I could find a registry setting to modify the option, but was unable to find the correct one. Can anyone else more familiar with the registry help here? Otherwise, I suggest you uninstall the logitech mouse software and then disable the show location of my pointer option in the microsoft software. Unfortunately, most likely using the ms software you won't be able to access all the advanced features of your mouse because it has loads of buttons and whatnot, so after disabling the feature in ms's software, you could try reinstalling the logitech stuff.

Oh, and I suggest you drop logitech an email asking if they've got any ideas also.

i didn't say little cousin. I have to stop people going on my computer. I wasn't here when he did it and he could have done something witht the driver. All my cd's/disks for the computer are right next to it.

edit: i guess i'm going to un-install the driver and re-install. I had problems with the logitech driver before, but oh well.

ok i end up un-installing then re-installing the driver for the mouse. It worked.

I didn't know that a simple problem could cause so much hassle. I would think since logitech has some of the ebst gamming mice, they would make some damn better controlls.

Can someone please check my hijackthis log? Since i re-installed the driver i have some unessaries then. Thanks.

Log will be reposted in first post in a few.
