thats my question. i have 80 def, friend has 90 def. We go to many arma trips (of 10 ppl, which slowly buckles down to 3 or 4) and i always seem to last with people with 90 def (like my friend). so is it really that important? is it just that arma is easy? will it be the same if i go to bandos?

From what I know, Bandos is very easy. So it prolly wont change. Def really doesnt seem to matter when its over 80.

well your defence just like attack but you get hit less instead of hitting more... obviously 90 is going to be better than 80 #-o

but if you read what i first said im getting hit only as much as my friend with 90 def. so explain that...

Yes, 90 defence makes a huge difference over 80.

Yep, I amazed my mates at arma when they had to tele when I still had a full terrorbird left 8-)

then i guess im getting lucky and sticking around with lvl 130s, im 104 :lol: i just wanted to see thought def was pointless. even a guy with 45 def went with us and lasted 10 kills...

It does, but boss monsters have such high attack bonuses that 10 extra defense levels is negligible.
