The Complete Guide To The Fisher King's Realm

The Fisher Kings Realm Guide

Hello, everyone.

I only just subscribed to Tip.It forums, mainly because I wanted to look for any existing guide to this area. I couldnt find one, so I decided to make one myself :)

I searched the forums and the main Tip.It guides, but the only references to this area were in the Hole Grail quest description. There was also no map of this area. The other reference was the Fairy Ring located in this area. Ill point it out on the map, and give the Code for anyone who likes it :P

The story

When youve done the quest Merlins Crystal, you can do another quest for King Arthur. This quest is finding the Holy Grail. This Grail happens to be in the Fisher Kings Realm. To get there you need to have a Magic Whistle, obtained by entering the most upper floor of Draynor Mansion with a Holy Napkin in your inventory. This way you can see two whistles sitting there on the table, ready for you to take. (Please note this: There are Magic Whistle spawns located in the Realm, should you lose it inside. Ill explain this further later on.)

Now you need to travel to Brimhaven, any way you like. To point out where you have to stand, Ive made this little picture:

showlocationoftele1zf4.png

The exact location is beneath the tower at that spot. Youll see 4 wooden pillars that support the tower. Stand in between them, and blow the whistle. Youll now be teleported inside the Realm.

Note: This guide is oriented on the Realm after youve completed the Holy Grail quest. Ill point out the differences later on in this guide.

Congratulations! Youve just entered The Fisher Kings Realm! Now you have to complete the quest according to the Tip.It official guide, and well talk further.

The map further on you can use to make the quest easier.

When you are reading here you have completed the Holy Grail quest (I hope).

The Map

Now, the Map of The Fisher Kings Realm (which I made entirely by myself, by the way :P):

wholemapnumbersol3.png

Explaination of the numbers:

1. Arrival site. This is where you arrive when you blow the whistle.

2. Fairy Ring. This is the fairy ring of the Realm. The code is BJR.

3. Little house. This little house contains a range. Particularly usefull when fishing, to cook your fish. Also, the 2 smaller red dots are Magic Whistle spawns.

4. Potato Field. Like the name said, a field of potato plants.

5. Cabbage Field. Like the name said, a field of Cabbage. (Also a few potato plants though :P)

6. Sheep Field. A field containing shearable Sheeps, and Rams (lvl 2).

7. Wheat Field. A field with lots of wheat.

8. Kings Castle. The castle of the King. More on this later on.

The Fishing Spots

As you can also see on the map, there are 3 fishing spots. Why not, hes called the Fisher King right? :P

Ive done some testing, and the only fish that you can catch there are Trout, Salmon and Pike. I dont know if there are any higher level fishes to be found there. If there are, please say it in this thread and Ill correct it :)

The range in the little house is ideal for cooking your caught fish, thus training your Fishing and Cooking all at once.

The Castle

The castle.

Well, first, of course, the ground floor (first floor for Americans):

groudnfloor1ov6.png

The little red dot is another whistle spawn (you can start a store selling those since there are an awfull lot of them, even though they are untadeable). The yellow dots are Grail Maidens, which only say Welcome to the castle blah blah blah. Not very interesting here. The left staircase leads to the King and his living place. The right staircase leads to the Holy Grail.

Ok, now over to the first floor (second for Americans):

firstfloor1cq9.png

On this floor, the yellow dot is the King (He changes to King Percival after the quest). There is not much interesting on this floor. The right round room is the chamber between the ground floor (first floor for Americans) and the Grail. Its unreachable if you are on the left side.

So, over to the most interesting floor, the second floor (third floor for Americans):

secondfloor2xw6.png

On the left side is the bedroom of the King. The most interesting part of this room are the three chests, locked behind a gate. This gate is locked, of course. There seems to be no way of entering it, even though I havent tried a long time. The right part of this floor contains the Holy Grail. If youve already taken the Grail (as you should have), you can just take it again. You cant drop it and get two of them, however. You cant drop the Grail since it has a destroy option, not a drop option. When you try to get a second one, it says This feels a bit too greedy. Theres nothing else to be done in the castle.

Other Stuff

There are also a few Oaks near the place where you arrive.

Also, by using a Fairy Ring to teleport to the Kingdom and using your magic whistle, you will end up really close to a mine with 10 gold rocks. It's never busy there, and you can always use the Fairy Ring again to bank the gold or use another teleport.

Thanks to Cha0sx for this suggestion :)

EDIT:

Someone else gave a really detailled description how you should do this, I'll quote it below:

With the newest quest, I found myself lacking in smithing XP, so I started timing the best places to mine gold, and found that using the Fisher King's Realm to get to Karamja was by far the fastest.

To achieve the optimum gold ore per hour, you need a Lunar Staff(or Dremen), a rune pick, Varrock Armour, glory, and a whistle. Use any fairy ring to tele to BJR, and blow the whistle on arrival. You teleport out to the 4 wooden pillars, and the gold mine is just south of there. There are actually 10 rocks and a spawn.

Mine a full inventory, and glory to Edgeville and bank. You can make bars there if you want (remember your gold smithing gauntlets if you do), but I just bank and save for later. Then run over the bridge and tele back to the Fisher King's Realm with the fairy rings.

No lightening items (boots of lightness, spottier capes) are necessary because you never run that far. The Varrock Armour has a special that gives an extra ore every few ores. My best is 5 free ores in one inventory, so that really speeds things up.

Thanks, Kama! :P

So, there you have it. A complete guide on whats to be done in The Fisher Kings Realm. I hope its been to good use for you :)

Feel free to post corrections/additions by the way.

It's not like you ever had a choice to begin with.

Interesting guide, only error I found was

3. Little house. This little house contains a FURNACE. Particularly usefull when fishing, to cook your fish. Also, the 2 smaller red dots are Magic Whistle spawns.

....

The FURNACE in the little house is ideal for cooking your caught fish, thus training your Fishing and Cooking all at once

I've never called a range a furnace before o_o.

Cool guide...

I totally forgot that this place existed. I did this quest back in RSC. Too bad it's not all that useful, though. :(

Expand your mind.

The fairy ring and magic whistle is very useful for mining gold on Karamja.

Yay, thanks for this cool suggestion. I've put it in the main guide, and I've credited you ofcourse :P

Well, in Dutch a Range is called "Fornuis", and I thought the correct english term was "Furnace" so yeah...

Thanks for the correction anyway, fixed already :P

Well, as Cha0sx pointed out, it's a good acces to a quiet gold mine... And I like the Realm, and I missed the map and such in the Quest description, so I thought wth and made a guide ;)

Interesting guide. It certainly seems to make a lot of sense about the gold, I shall have to try this.

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

Thanks for this, I'll quote it in the main section since it gives a good detailled description. Unfortunately I'm still (pretty much) a noob on Runescape, so I can't test this out myself. :)
