Custom clients do exist, but they are even easier to detect thanks to the custom headers. People using them risk a lot. And for the record, all those default woodcutting bots before balanced trades etc. were mostly run by a handful of people using a customized client able to handle hundreds of accounts on a single computer. The creator didn't share it with the world, as was to be expected.

Well, I'm actually training combat for a while (what am I thinking!?!?!?) and ofcourse I do it on those Rock Crabs. But I have a problem, after about 10 minutes they stop attacking me when I come near. Logging out/in or leaving for a while doesn't seem te work. Help?

I program a lot, and pulli32 is right, even in 100-200 line scripts it's easy to make a tiny mistake, which doesn't return an error because there's nothing wrong with the syntaxis, just a tiny logical error. For example, it's very easy to ruin the Array nummering. But it's still strange that this just happens NOW, and with only one Penguin.

Summoning, for sure. It's extremely tedious to train, even more so than Farming (which I actually like).

Wow, so the Official Forum is actually good for something? If you can find that something between the hundreds of thousands of spam messages there, that is. OT: All in all, I think Jagex could have made their standards for tempbans better. Like, earning more than 15 points that week. They probably have records of nearly anything anyway, aside from maybe chat. Just banning everyone only slightly involved is a really bad move, in my opinion.

Well, to be honest, I looked at a crappy internet site (some kind of Wiki) for that week's locations, because I hate crowded clanchats and world 60 in general. It said there was a Penguin in the Wildy, don't blame me for trying.

There aren't any in the wildy this week... I know, I was talking about last week. When there were no Penguins around. This week I found 2 of them completely by accident, 1 in Feldip Hills when training Summoning and 1 on Dragtontooth island when helping someone with Ghosts Ahoy.

This is what Jagex' office looked like after the glitch: Luckily I wasn't (temp)banned. But then, I started doing Penguins the day after the glitch, and I wondered why there were none. I walked around the Wildy for an hour for nothing. Ah well.

After I finally got the Master White Knight rank I instantly bought every White item from that armoury guy, and dressed up exactly as a White Knight. I would then stand in the middle of the Castle and log out, switch to a F2P world and log back in. There are always people training there, so it loooked like a new White Knight just spawned or something, so no suspicion yet. I would then walk around randomly pausing inbetween clicks, so it looked even more realistic. After a while the person training would click me without thinking about it and nothing would happen except walking towards me, so they usually click again. Then they look at the text in their upper left corner and start following me, randomly saying "Lol" and "Nice White". Good times. I hate that place, but that could be because I hate woodcutting. With that Penguin though, I might change my mind.

We all have it, a place, somewhere in Runescape, which you consider the best there is. For whatever reason you choose, that is your favorite place. So, what's yours? If you can, please post a nice HD pic or something, it makes it easier for people to understand why that spot is your favorite spot. Also, please provide any reasons to why this is your favorite place, like music, scenery etc. I'll start, ofcourse. My favorite location would be the Barbarian fishing lake, mainly next to Otto Godblessed's humble shack. Why? It's really peaceful and such, you can watch people plunge to their deaths in the Whirlpool/the Waterfall, and you can stay there for hours without ever needing to bank, whilst in the meantime training Fishing, Cooking, Strength and Agility. A little downside is the number of people that come to me every day asking how to get to the Mithril Dragons, but a nice "Try jumping down the whirlpool" takes care of that little problem for the next 5 minutes if they didn't do the training yet, and forever if they DID actually do the training. Oh great, I spent a few hours trying to find Penguins where none existed. This, compared to the only glitch I tried (the Ectoplasm-covered Bedsheet Party Room teleport), is madness. Permban is maybe a bit exaggerated, but a rollback of the xp (maybe with a few points extra, they need to learn anyway) seems punishment enough. Not to mention the cash, 3k points with 6.5k each in a few hours.... Eh no.

Maybe a sequel to Regecide? That quest left some ends open.

Small correction, how much you get hit depends on your HP left. If your health is below 20 you'll NEVER get hit more than 2. It's a percentage-thingy. Probably mentioned before, but anyways.

I am currently a tad annoyed by this. The Shades in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame are very annoying. Their melee attacks are a joke, they only hit me 1% of the time. It's that stupid Magic attack of theirs that gets underneath my fingernails. No matter what I try, it's impossible to block. Protect from Magic has no effect. Magic defense actually in the positives has no effect. Is there any way whatsoever to protect yourself from that annoying attack?

Eh, I suggest you try it out yourself before you start making false accusations.

Noticed this today when travelling to the Canifis Underground Passage Fairy Ring for the first time: It just seems to be the area where you end up if you go outside of the Fairy Ring room, but there's not really a reason for it to be elevated this high. My Runescape client resolution is 1439x698 by the way. I'm not running Fullscreen because I need to check Tip.It ever so often. Yes, I measured that.

Pretty good guide, but I have a question. What about Isafdar? The beasties over there give a lot more XP. The only drawback is the bait though, but that's my question. Do you lose the bait when hunting the Grenwalls or Pawya's? I remeber you kept the bait with the Ferrets, but not with the Chinchompa's... Anyone actually tried this?

I helped this guy out with Shield of Arrav, left him in my friends list for fun. After a few days: Noob: Wtf who are you???? Me: I helped you with the Arrav quest remember? Noob: Oh yea Noob: Cmb lvl? Me: 54. Noob: Noob Noob: Now rmove me from ur frnds list or ur reported Me: Go ahead, I'm not doing anything wrong. Noob: Yes u are, ur bugging me ur bug abuse.

The macros you see these days are most likely Pascal ones. There is ofcourse a group of people that make functions for this, especially for Runescape botting. That's why, when it's actually a good script, it can easily overcome most randoms, heal poison etc. But only respected members of said community have acces to those well-written script. Obviously those fishers got a crappy Junior Member script. From what I read here, even I could write a better one, given a few days. Yes, I admit having researched it, but only because I'm an IT student and a Runescape player myself. I'm not autoing, if that's what you think.

I hope you know all those lvl 3 noobs woodcutting all the time were being controlled by just a handful of people. Someone in Japan apparantly made a modified client in Java, which allowed him to log 100+ accounts in at the same time. Ofcourse he didn't share his program, else Runescape would have been completely trashed.
