No way! Possibly smarter than Mello (because his emotions influence him too much), but definitely not Near. Remember, Light had the easy part in this, imagine how much harder it was to trap and convict him. Light is infinitely smarter than near. L did all the hard work against him, then Near and Mello just came along and said, "oh look, we've just been handed the answer on a plate, and its still gonna take us 12 episodes to work it out." I barely even know what Death Note is about (have a slight idea though) but that's one of the funniest things I've watched for months. Honestly, it would've been perfect had Light cursed in the dubbed version. I had a piece of grass on my shoe, and she wiped that off. Yeah. Impressive, eh? And I wouldn't really consider Near's suspection of the 6 as a "choice" of who was Kira, just the only lead he had.[/hide] I didn't really know how to word the second sentence. Hope it makes sense.
