Ravenkana
As RuneScape applies the final touches to the upcoming graphical improvement, the FunOrb team have been busy revamping their most popular game. The free to play and multiplayer game 'Arcanists' has now received a large chunk of new content. They have created some new maps to master, including one that takes its cues from Mos Le'Harmless. More spells are on offer, including two new spellbooks - Sea and Nature - while familiars have been introduced, which could turn current Arcanist tactics on their head. With more Achievements to unlock and awards to obtain, there's plenty new to play in Arcanists. FunOrb is a website created by Jagex, makers of RuneScape, which offers a diverse selection of games for you try out and play for free. This was taken directly off of the RS front page. When I posted it in General Discussion, I was told, by a moderator, that General Discussion is for the discussion of Runescape matters only and to bring this here. I'm not insulting the mod, she was just doing her job and was totally justified, but I AM pointing a finger of scoff at Jagex. Why? Well, they have advertised, multiple times, Funorb on their RS main page. This may not seem a like a big deal, after all this doesn't affect Runescape, but it reflects poorly on Jagex. I'm tired of them pushing Funorb onto us. If I wanted to join their childish minigame site, I would have done so the first time. I don't mean this to be a rant, I just want to know how you guys feel about this. Do you feel that Jagex should be advertising Funorb on Runescape? Why or why not? If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system. Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased. The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?
InkofDeath
If anything it goes in Video Games & Consoles, but I'd imagine it would be better in General Discussion... Regardless I was waiting for these.
obidiah
I don't really feel it's that heavily pushed - we've had something like one news post every 2 months. Face it this is the 21st century and companies are going to advertise their products to try and get them to do as well as possible. Plenty of companies continue to advertise their products even though most the people they are advertising too have already heard of them. When I see a coco cola advert I don't think "why are they forcing coca cola onto me. I already know enough about coca cola to make my own decision on whether to drink it or not." I guess that I see so much advertising and subjected to more irritating inyourface advertising, that I'm desensitised to a milder form of it like a news post on a website. I can understand how some people might be anti- any sort of advertising. To be honest I take more issue with the fact that you call the funorb games childish. As an adult member on funorb I think that couldn't be further from the truth. The funorb member userbase is generally speaking a lot more adult, pleasant and mature than the Runescape one. Your little kiddys wouldn't stand a chance against the high strategy used in a members game of arcanists once you're playing at any decent sort of rating level. Golvellius
I'll be interested to try those new books out. Unfortunately, the game is full of little kids that just say "**** you" , or "Its a member gang him". This, terra pheonix, and that zombie game are the best thing coming out of Jagex this year. :x Exclusive Legacy Mode Player He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. Nenga
I think funorb is far from childish. The games can require thinking and stratagy. If anything these new spell books make it easier so people who can't win won't whine as much. Ponies!

The styling screams 10 and under. That alone is enough to make me feel embarrassed about playing it. Its kind of like playing Neopets. A lot of the games take strategy, but the site itself is childish.
