EDIT: lol, it doesn't do spaces in tip.it either Its pretty simply really in the jagex server a code is written that any number of spaces = 1 space. The same was as _ = a space Therefore as soon as an account is created with any number of spaces all possible variations of that are marked as in use. They all got messages and the chance to rename thier account. Also, I'm pretty sure that " " and "_" both show up as a space, and are interchangeable.
