cooking guantlets, how should i get them and do they break or something?

All you do is the Family Crest quest then talk to Caleb in Catherby afterwards to enchant the guantlets. And no, they last forever.

no they don't break. you will need 25k for every time you enchant it with a different effect. you get them as a reward for finish family crest.
