I recently tried it out. I know paypal is cheaper but I just wanted to try ^^.

The call cost me 12 euro's!

 

First there is this dude talking about members and then there is like 3 minutes of RuneScape Intro music. They say it costs 7 euro's but add up the price you pay for calling and you get screwed.

 

For the same money I could of bought 2 months with PayPal!

 

Now, thats just scamming -.-

Ofcourse, calling from another country sure is expensive. Maybe renew the membership with Paypal?

I called from The Netherlands but still, 8 minutes was just stretching time, the other 1 min was the Pin-Code..

 

I'll use paypal further on seeming that isnt a scam ;)

Eight minutes? Huh, generating a pin code really shouldn' t take that long. Who knows what JAGeX does in that time.

I have to say tho that if you made the call with your cellphone, they clearly say that it costs a lot extra :)

Are you serious. The pay by phone in australia is like a minute.

 

 

 

You call up and get told to get a pen and paper and write down your code. You get your code straight away. It used to be really long but now its effective. I'm surprised it's still the old way over there :shock:

Jagex probably only gets X amount of that money. The fact that is cost more than advertised is probably because the call took so long and your phone service is charging you extra cash. Not Jagex.
