Slayer Ammo

Training range with slayer atm, i use a rune c'bow with broad bolts [54ea fletched myself] and void for safespot tasks, but tasks like nechs/dusties, which are annoying to safespot and usually take hits i wear "tank" armour [dfs/v helm and skirt], but the c'bow seems really slow and rarely hits well, making tasks very long, what should i used on tasks like this?

 

 

 

I was thinking hunter x'bow with kebbit bolts, or maybe addy bolts, any opinions are welcome =P~

Mith bolts, great for most tasks.....

i read on truthscape, broad bolts = between mith and addy + they're cheaper, more suggestions though

You can safespot both of those tasks pretty easily.

 

 

 

If you can't safespot a task, it's not going to be easy to range. I'd just melee it.

When i ranged slayer those bolts weren't out. But my weapon of choice was the good old-fashioned msb with mithril arrows. Thanks to the GE, infinite stock and waterfiend drops, mithril arrows actually work out cheaper and faster exp than a crystal bow, which i found out after exp/time tests on about 5 crystal bows vs. msb/miths.

I don't like hiding behind a table for nechs, half the time they hit me in void and sometimes follow me around, it's a lot easier to just take hits, if you don't have anything to add to the thread, don't post.

Just do emmy e bolts. You'd probably still profit on MOST tasks.

Hmm. Hunter bow is as good as mith xBow, but hits as fast as Karil's...aproximately.

 

 

 

Cheap to replace, and kebbit bolts are decent hunter XP if you also hunt somehting else at the time.

I actually heard about using red chins for nechs somewhere. I might just be crazy though. I also seen a guy who trained slayer all the way with rune knives. Those are just some odd ones you might want to try out if your bored.

 

 

 

As for dusties, i think with a bunyip and/or b2p spell or tabs, you could probably stand there naked fighting them, but the mask is a pain. I would think dfs + full range gear (not void due to mask) should be enough.

On topic:

 

If you do barrows, and you do them often, you could use your bolt racks instead of selling them which would give you a lot of free ammo. The extra speed should easily get you past the harder tasks at a very fast rate with range pots.

Well i'll give them a try, so far the list is; Broad bolts/arrows, kebbit bolts/mithril arrows, at black demons, even though the arrows hit faster the cbow always hit very high, i'll give it a try on other monsters later.
