can no longer find Photoshop Pro 7

I have been searching for weeks looking for a trial version of Photoshop Pro 7 as I can't get it off my old HDD seeing as it doesn't work :wall: does anyone know where to find it? (I don't want alternatives either)

I don't believe that Adobe have trials of anything not in its current version.

 

The trial they offer would be for CS3, and possibly for CS2.

yes, but other sites often do, and I know that I found a trial for Photoshop 7 that worked after they released CS3 (old harddrive once wiped out some programs for no reason once)

If someone had the download of the PS7 trial when it was out, then yes that would still work.

 

However I'd be pretty wary of getting that from an unofficial site.

I use WOT and will usually avoid anything non-green, unless I KNOW what I'm looking at is deemed safe

I know this is only a trial but tip.it does not condone the use of torrents. That is if WOT is a torrent site.

 

You can easily get cracks and serial keygens.

pyromancer, WOT isn't a torrent site, far from it actually. It's a Firefox addon that rates sites from green to red (similar to the terror ratings by the US Government). It's pretty much another version of SiteAdvisor (though I prefer SiteAdvisor because of the comments and some other factors). WOT stands for Web Of Trust, and it's a pretty good add-on from what I've heard, and experienced.

And I did some searching last night for a trial version, and I had no luck, or at least I didn't find anything from a reliable search. I'm sure there are torrents of it out there, but I don't trust torrent sites in the first place, let alone the pirated and often malware-laden downloads they contain. Plus, Tip.It doesn't condone torrents (as pyromancer has stated above), so even if I did find one, I couldn't tell you (although something that big and popular, the chances of a virus are a near certainty IMHO).

my friend says he still has the installer for a trial version that he could give to me (is this illegal? as he got it for free from the web, and as far as either of us know this isn't illegal)

 

 

 

so until I get it, or if I somehow get like $800 I'll have to use the Photoshop CS3 Extended 30-day trial which doesn't look much different from Pro 7, but apparently has Vid editing, so it's time to have fun with my laptops webcam (faster and easier then using a digital camera, installing the software and saving the vid on my laptop)

wow this day has become awesome, mum comes in and I'm not happy because the CS3 trial is only a month long thing, and she asks what's wrong, so I tell her why, and she says "how much is the full thing" I show her, while thinking, "you're gonna say something about how expensive it is ($1000 US) and she says "hmmm..... maybe we could put it down as a business expense" (cutting it to $750 and we get tax return) but she will probably make me study more, and make business stuff like business cards (which will be worth it :D )

If your friend sends you the installer, that's not illegal, as it was free.

That's pretty much how I got my copy of CS3 :thumbsup: If that does end up happening, congratulations to you. I haven't been able to find a safe copy of even a trial downloader for PS7 so hopefully you can get CS3 without a problem.

 

 

 

pyromancer, assumptions can lead to very bad things. Google is your friend (I just happened to have removed WOT recently so I knew what it was right off). And I'll just second the part about the installer being legal.

Honestly, just torrent it and use your own CD Key if you have it. You aren't stealing anything.

Agreed with Nadril there, although it's available via HTTP download at adobe.com, just stick your cd key in the trial and it's good to go.

 

 

 

Also: If you're not going to pirate it (which I'm obviously not saying is an option, piracy is never an option, amirite guise? *glances around with shifty eyes*) I would suggest buying the student version https://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/flex/index.cfm?store=OLS-EDU&nr=0 as it's only 300 bucks.

No there is no difference. The only difference is that the price is cut in half. I have CS3 student version and there is no difference from the real version.

EDIT: so I'm looking at the site and I can't decide whether I should get CS3 or CS3 Extended, is the extras justified of the cost? (with Extended being a few 100 dollars more)

there is, you just have to look hard enough, and it went like this US - Asia - Australia and would swap between them every page, it got so frustrating :x
