Bingo. Chiv and Piety are really essential, because they're the only prayers that focus on the three skills that compose melee. With range and magic, you get your additional percentages, and you dont have to worry about any other part you're missing. Having Ultimate reflexs means you won't have steel skin and super strengh, and vice versa. Putting on all three is just a super drain on your prayer, too.

Mage pots :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :thumbdown: Waaay too overpowered. Mage is slightly overpowered as it is.

Range and magic are overpowered if you use them CORRECTLY.

 

 

 

Melee, you have to be in close quarters with your enemy. All a ranger has to do is something like barrage then a dark bow spec. I believe the max d bow spec is 49-49, which is 98 damage. and by the time they eat, you can whip out dds, and do a noob spec and still ko. I am not saying you get high hits each and every spec, but range is simply over powered. It is pretty balanced imho. This game has the ability to be very strategic.

 

 

 

Plus, range and magic are long range attacks.

 

 

 

Best part of each type:

 

Range - Dark bow / Dragon bolts (e)

 

Magic - Barrage

 

Melee - Armadyl Godsword.

 

 

 

The potions for ranging and magic are not necessary.

I disagree that the super ranging potion is a good idea. In fact, at high levels, the ranging potion already gives boosts close to a super attack potion. At level 89 I can boost myself up to 101 and hit very hard with the right equipment. I can ko another player easily with a couple of good close to 40 hits with my rune crossbow and the right bolts.

 

 

 

I think a super ranging potion would throw off the balance. Beating other players would be way too easy once you have some sweet 85+ ranging stat, even if they wield torag, bandos or some other armor with good ranged defense and rush to spec you with a god sword.

 

 

 

Magic is also deadly for that matter if you have the right spells at hand. The advantage at your hand coming from spells that freeze your enemy, causes 75% damage retaliate and other very powerful strategic spells. So no super magic potion for the mage to throw things off balance, thank you. :D

Having the black / slayer mask boost the ranged on slayer tasks would be nice though.
