hey im looking to get 70 range as i always say i am going to do it but never actually do, i am currentyl 62 range and am looking for some advice on where to train, how mnay arrows to buy and what arrows etc. could anyone give me any tips? thanks.

Bronze knives with max range gear and range potions.

 

Train on things with low defence/high hp like caged ogres, yaks or rock crabs.

cool, i never thought of using bronze ones, how many would i need?

No idea. They're 14ea, so just buy like 5-10k and you should be fine. If you're ranging cages ogres, you can't get hit, but you also can't pick them up.

you can actually pick them up, unless they changed the clickable opening in the cage, you can go in and pick up your projectiles. Anyway, good luck!

Haha, we're on the same boat then! I could never get myself to get 70 ranged either. It's just such a boring skill....

 

 

 

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Here's how I got myself to do it:

 

 

 

First, I cannoned during Slayer Tasks. In EVERY task that I could. The cannon speeds up the tasks a lot, and gives ranged xp.

 

 

 

Second, any task that I could use range in effectively, I did. That means Black Demons, Blue Dragons, etc. (This was before the Smoking Kills update).

 

 

 

Lastly, when I was within 4 levels, I grabbed a few knives and went to yaks.

Yes, and if you don't have a use for it, you can always just sell it back.

that could be worth a purchase then, how much is a connon set, and cannonballs , any idea on how mnay i should get?
