Poetry.I wasn't that great at this previously, but since my art has improved, why not this?So...I'm going to try my hand at it.Forget about rhyme scheme for now,though...Just writing my thoughts in stanzas =D

So here I am,

Rubbing these damned points

On these damned ears.

And there they are,

Scratching nice,thick beards

On their rugged faces.

And then I wonder,

What would life be

If I were born a human?

What would life be

If God had made me so?

But now the horn blows,

And my brethren have already nocked their bows.

I scramble to do so,but my quiver is empty.

I cannot fight these men,

That much I have realised.

I run toward the incoming tide of Humans,

Uncaring of the shoutings and callings of my name.

"Elokas!" they call,

But that is not my name.

That name is Elven,

Which I no longer am.

Nay,I am a Human,

And should have a Human name,

A Human lord,

Perhaps even a Human weapon.

But as I run,I do realise,

That though I've always envied a sword,

And though I've always wanted a beard,

Elven life does provide some comfort for me.

I scramble again for my bow,

Hoping its not to late.

I find my arrows, but not the bow,

For I had left it behind.

And now the tide of Humans is come,

The race I so longed to be.

And they raise their swords to the air,

As my brothers take careful aim.

Some calls of battle are sounded.

Arrows loosed into the air.

Some men are killed, their weapons flailing into the ground.

The Humans are no different,

The speed of the charge is increased.

The thumping of their feet signifies my doom,

But do I care?

I do not know how I died,

Perhaps it was a carelessly aimed arrow?

Perhaps I was run through by a sword?

Nay,I died out of my ignorance.

I died from the guilt of a life of strife,

Eight hundred years of ignorant, unappreciated bliss.

Now I've paid my dues,

And all the mistakes are realised.

They take me to where I'm meant to be,

But I deserve no Valhalla,

I deserve no rest.

Such is the cost of my ignorance,

And it is now that I know it...

How's that?Really,I've not done it for a long time.If anyone who gets the "VP",please say nothing about Valhalla, seriously.

If you look at me and feel offended by my 666-ism,think.I could be just as offended by your "cross".

The Eleventh Commandment:Thou Shalst only say "Amen, brother".

Amen, brother

Amen, brudda (referring to the 10th commandment)

amen Bruder! (german ftw)

I'm invulnerable to everything, except Lenin and Dragoonson.

That's impossible.

I love people.[/hide]

Interesting topic to write about; I really wouldn't have ever thought of it.

I like it and it makes me want to go write poetry now. i think I might actually.

Good luck hawk... though I'd never write poetry. I just never have any imspiration (other than a video game, and I'd lose the inspiration a few minutes later).
