Just turn auto retaliate off, go down to varrok sewers, and start curseing/weakening/etc the rats. All you need is a mud staff and body runes which are extremely cheap. After you curse or wtvr on them, they'll be attracted to you and soon you'll have a ton of rats around you. Then just tell your kitty/cat to kill them.
