I was thinking about the new Star Wars CGI movie that's coming out soon (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) so I decided to try this...

First thing. C4D's are very bright and are very distracting. Text isn't too good either - I would suggest using a simple font (Cordia New, Verdana etc..).

 

 

 

Animation is alright, but the red block I don't like too much, but I can't say much because I'm a terrible animator.

The animation definately is not suited for the piece. The render seems to blend too much into the background too, causing it to lose focus. Seems you used the cross-hatch tool or something (I forget, been a while since I've properly used Photoshop), which brings the quality of the piece down.

contrast needs to be turned down considerably, also what is the animation signifying?

This whole peice was just made out of boredom :P so i really dont have a meaning for the animation :P

Not a fan of the animation either, it's quite distracting and just doesn't seem to add anything to the piece. I agree the contrast needs to be toned down, at the moment some details of the render are lost.
