Barrows Question. (answered, close)

I currently kill the 5 brothers and then enter on the 6th tunnel.

However i have navigated the tunnels and got to the chest without encountering with the 6th brother.

Do i have to kill all 6 of the brothers to get a piece of barrows armour?

EDIT: From the tipit barrows guide

You must now find your remaining brother. Explore the maze, opening doors. The remaining brother could appear randomly when you open a door, along with regular monster spawns. It is a good idea to keep opening a door until monsters stop spawning, and if the brother still hasn't appeared, move on to another door. He may take some time to appear but it will happen eventually. If the brother that was supposed to be in your tunnel mound does not turn up from a door spawn, opening the chest will spawn him. Any brother you didn't kill earlier in their mound will also appear randomly when opening doors in the tunnel.

I have opened the chest before with only killing 5 brothers.... maybe a glitch?

No you don't have to, but it does improved your odds.

Equally they updated barrows if you try to open the chest before defeating your tunnel; brother they will spawn.

This of it this way. Each brother has a certain chance of dropping a barrows item, which would go to the chest. Let's call it 1/600. If you kill no brothers, you have a 0% chance of getting an item. As you kill them, each one adds likelyhood to there being an item in the chest- 1/600 if you kill one, 1/300 if you kill two, 1/200 if you kill three, 1/150 if you kill four, 1/120 if you kill five, and 1/100 if you kill all six.

That's unlikely to be the exact number, but the concept is what I'm going for.

from barrows logs I've seen it seems to be about 1/20 chance of getting a barrows item.

Well, most people and statistics show its around 1/15 in getting a barrows item from killing all 6 brothers. So, it would go as, 1/30 for 5, 1/60 for 4, 1/120 for 3, 1/240 for 2, 1/480 for 1.

Note- numbers chosen for convenience, not accuracy :P

Of course, just wanted to clarify, mind, i got my "statistics" from an old poster who asked how frequent was the barrows drop and the average was 1/15.
