Runescape, more or less, requires an operating system. It requires a mouse, a keyboard, and much, much more. And all of these entail "other software." All I'm bringing up is that the rule isn't at all clear about what's valid and what's invalid. Rather than simply saying "any other software," it should be detailed, so we don't need to have ridiculous discussions over what's permissible and what's not. The fact that us, players, are debating over what the rule means shows that Jagex didn't do a thorough job in writing the rules. You have to be less pedantic. Using an operating system does not give an unfair advantage, because you obviously need an operating system to play RuneScape. Any reasonable person would say that using a mouse, keyboard, operating system, or web browser does not give someone an unfair advantage in RuneScape. Whether the mouse in question constitutes an unfair advantage over other players is up for debate, but ultimately Jagex will decide whether it is allowed or not.

It's as fun to hit a 500 as your max hit now as it was to hit a 50 as your max hit because they are equivalent. At the same time, I'm sure that there is an equivalent to a RuneScape max hit in WoW which one should derive the same amount of pleasure from hitting. It seems that YOU are the only person unable to realize this and hence you hate the update. If anything, the update only increases the pleasure that can be derived from hitting your max hit since most players' max hits will now be rarer. This update has very few functional changes to the game. It's nothing to get wound up over. Quit whining and just adjust to it. I never claimed to be more mature/intelligent than anyone else. This is just my stereotype of kids who are stupid enough to only train strength (generally the immature/younger players). There is honestly no point to this update other than to annoy everyone that's been playing longer than six damn months. 48.5k XP per hour was my rate from 75-77.

Curses work better. Use sap mage until the melee berserker attacks, and then use sap warrior and deflect melee. It helps to bring melee armor for the melee berserker attacks also.

There are a couple of similar apps in the App Store now that were not there when I created this topic. Frankly, they are all useless. Most players know the best ways to make money or train skills and if they do not, that information can be found for free online. Most of those guides are outdated, too, or simply copied and pasted from older such resouces. I saw one guide instructing you to make certificates, which have not existed since RSC! If this is the kind if app you're going to create, please don't.

I found that the best prayer in the beginning is sap mage and that the best prayers for the berserker melee attack part is sap warrior and deflect melee. Also, bring melee armor (rune or dragon) for the berserker melee attack part. I never tried hiding from him at that part, but I don't suggest it because it's not really needed.

I think it's 20-22 hours. That way you can buy at the same time every day.

Come on now, no need to exaggerate a story (I.E. lying!) to impress people. There is a combat level of 85 requirement to do the quest "Dream Mentor" so it is impossible to have seen a level 70 with a quest cape between the release of Blood Runs Deep/While Guthix Sleeps and Nomad's Requiem.

With the full slayer helm, I can confirm that my range max hit did increase by 15% and that the accuracy seemed to be better as well.

If h≥10, The amount of XP-hours you will get is (h-10)*1.1 + the definite integral from 0 to 10 of ((x-10)/7.5)^2+1.1

With a Full Slayer Helm (with 280 volcanic creatures task), Karil's top, Verac's skirt, Soul Wars cape, Fury, Archers' Ring, Barrows Gloves, and Ranger Boots, would it be better to use two Crystal Bows or a Rune Crossbow with 3000 broad bolts and 300 diamond (e) bolts and an Unholy Book? Keep in mind this is with 92 range, 81 defense, and 71 prayer. My friend told me the latter, but I thought that I would ask the experts :P.

You didn't even play RS1. How can you call yourself a veteran? Honestly, RS hasn't changed with the years. More content has been added, but since RS2 came out it has been the same game at the core. Any changes in RS have only been improvements. The G.E. is much preferable to standing in banks saying "buying dds 50k" for hours. Even removing the Wilderness as good because it got rid of all the bots. Don't you remember the 100 bots per yew trees in the free worlds and even bots at sharks in members' worlds? If anything has changed, it's been you. If in 2004 you were in third grade, you'd be about 9 at the time. Now you're 15. You've been going through some of the largest changes in your life. Many teenagers will look back with nostalgia to their childhoods because they felt more innocent then and had more free time. So you look back on your early days of playing RS with fondness. Either embrace RS as it is now, or move on. There are lots of opportunities for you moving forward, and I wish you the best.

Not really, since that person never measured how many of a monster was killed or the actual drop rates, just how many drops happened. In his conclusion he states that since Iron Dragons dropped 15 visages and Steels dropped only 3 visages, that Iron Dragons are better to kill for visages. But, his sample of players could have killed 50 times as many Iron Dragons as Steel Dragons. Without knowing how many monsters were killed, his data is only good for comparing drops within a monster, for example finding that a dragon med helm from an Abyssal Demon is 15 time as rare as a whip from an Abyssal Demon.

I suggest putting it into herblore for extreme potions or prayer for turmoil.
