Alchs/per hour
The ideal is 1 alch in 3 seconds or 1200 per hour; however, from my own observation I have found myself to only get 1000-1100 alchs in each hour. That was mostly with the old alch animation, mind. I cannot stand the new animation <_< .

Zamorak symbol
He knows that, but it's easier to call it a letter to say which way it sticks out. I think Yak meant unlike other symbols where they have a specific way up to go Zamoraks symbol is about the 3 pointed shape, and as long as it is the 3 pointed shape it is his symbol reagardless of it being W M E or a back to front E You mean like a 3?

Strange outcome
Okay now I see what I did. I did mutiply the base exp by the Knight's Hp. I forgot the crucial part that it does not take 52 hits to kill the knight but 52 damage. Thank you for your help. Problem solved. On top of that, you forgot that you don't have the runes to kill 1178 knights; you have the runes to cast 1178 fire strikes.

Fun Moneymakers
Barrows in Verac's is a sure moneymaker at your levels. Barrows items are just the icing. Go for it!

Dragon Claws
No. That is not how ROW works. It doesn't changed WHAT rare drop you get, but rather whether or not you get a rare drop at all. Actually...no...well...kinda... The chance of getting the "magic number" that puts the drops in the second wheel with the rare drops never changes, all the ring of wealth does is increase the likelihood of a rare drop being chosen in the second wheel. In practice I think I hear it increases drop rates anywhere from 1-5%, but rare drops are a tricky thing to figure out especially since we still don't know what constitutes a "rare drop." There's a guide in the AoW here that goes further in depth. Not really anything I can say on topic, I've never been to TD's, but good luck anyways :D . I can't be bothered to find exactly where, but Jagex recently said that they will make a diary explaining exactly how the Ring of Wealth works. So keep your eyes and ears open!

Possible to poison Zamorakian Spear?
You cannot poison a Zamorakian Spear. To poison a weapon that can be poisoned, just use the poison with the weapon. The only melee weapons you can poison are spears from bronze to dragon, daggers from bronze to dragon, and Keris.

11-Jan-2010 - Nomads Requiem
I suggest that you range him with ruby bolts (e). Wear magic defense armor because his attacks are magic-based, but switch to melee defense armor when he goes into his fury of blows melee attack mode. Use your curses prayerbook. At first, use Sap Mage but switch to Sap Warrior and Deflect Melee when he does into his fury of blows melee attack mode. When he lays out mines, run directly south, out of the circle of mines. Then run east or west. You need to be diagonally opposite him behind a pillar to avoid his 75-damage attacks. When he created 3 illusion copies of himself, he will always be the last one to attack. Wait for the 3 copies to attack at the same time, and he is the one who attacks after them. When he freezes you in the middle, don't panic and drink all your saradomin brews at once. Shoot him and drink a brew. Wait to take another sip until after you've shot at him again. This way, you keep up the same rate of attacks. Pot up until you have more than your maximum HP. You should have enough time to get to full health before he uses the HP-1 attack. Keep repeating this pattern as he goes through the cycle of his 4 attacks. Once you get him down to about 1/4 HP for the second time, He goes into a fury of blows melee attack mode where there are 3 damage splashes on your character at all times. Remember to don your melee defense armor and switch to melee curses! Throughout the whole battle, always drink 3 saradomin brew doses and then one super restore potion doses. Sometime, though, you will be taking a heavy beating and have to drink more saradomin brews. In that case, drink 6 brew doses and then 2 super restore doses. Using this strategy, I was able to beat Nomad with combat level 110 and range level 82, so you should be able to do it also. Good luck! This is... incredibly helpful. Just a question, how many Brews and Super Restores did you have? Every row of my inventory was Brew, Brew, Brew, Super restore. Except the last one was Brew, Brew, Rune platebody, dragon skirt (for his melee attack mode at the end of the fight). I used a Spirit Terrorbird familiar, but I would suggest that you use a War Tortoise, or whatever the best Beast of Burden you have is. I had my familiar carry Brew, Brew, Brew, Super restore, repeated as many times as I could fit.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
Classic joke, every month has 28 day :P How :o Usually, I'm very smart, but now I feel stupid. Every month has one day, two days, etc. All also have 28 days and most have 29 days and 30 days. Some also have 31 days.

Quest Cape- Good or Bad?
I like that idea. Maybe we can have low level skillcapes, too. I want a cape for my 80 Fletching and 70 Construction!!@@12!! Just kidding, I don't like your idea. Think about it though... Even if from this point on, if Jagex only makes quests with the current requirements and nothing higher, in three or four years, it will take literally, months to achieve the levels required, and then go through and complete all the quests. Now, with the direction that the quests are going, in three or fewer years, we will have quests requiring level 99 in some skills. Doesn't this mostly defeat teh purpose of the quest cape? It's an achievement cape for a reason  And a quest requiring a level 99 skill will never happen. Never. How can you honestly believe that? I mean, we have Grandmaster quests. Two years ago, people would have had a heart attack at the idea of a quest with the requirements of WGS! If Runescape continues for another 5 years, then we're looking at having some quests that will require MULTIPLE 99s to complete! With the Nomad, while it is possible to defeat him without maxxed out stats, you still have lots of difficulty, even when you DO have maxxed out stats. As time progresses, so do the quests. The longer the game is around, the fuller the skills will be. Hopefully by the end of this year, most of the skills will have been filled out so that you can do something new at every level. That is the goal that Jagex is going towards. Is it a mistake that Summoning has a new familiar almost every level? No! Because Jagex knows we like to have lots of options, and that it feels good to unlock something new. Hell, if we're lucky, we'll have an Ultimate quest requiring 99 in pretty much everything, in two or so years. Now, if the quest cape was broken up, you'd have the "Novice" quest cape, and it'd look like crap, and have no stats... Obviously it would only appeal to noobs. The "Intermediate" quest cape would be mostly the same... Maybe a tiny bonus in something... Nothing that anyone would care about. Once you have the "Experienced" quest cape, you might be interested, if you have nothing better, or if you are broke. The "Master" quest cape would be what we currently have, and then the "Grandmaster" quest cape would be the equivalent of a trimmed Quest Cape. Make sense? I am only trying to look more than two updates in the future, which is a skill that many RS players do not have. Ciao The idea of getting quest cape for finishing only a few quests is stupid. Like other people said, it's like giving a cape for 80 fletching. Jagex has already said that they know that the quest cape will eventually be the hardest cape to get and that they want it that way. Insulting other people who play the same game as you, especially when that includes these entire forums, is immature and arrogant. And you have a signature for a reason, stop puitting "Ciao" at the end of every of your posts. There is literally no one but you who appreciates that. Some may not mind it, and some see it as a negative, but no one but you sees it as a positive.

Wow...2 void ranger helms...ffs
Honestly, what does a confirmation screen have to do with buying/selling back items? With the buy/sell feature there is no need for a confirmation screen as you can sell back the item for 1/4 of the points/tokens. @oXMutilateXo: I disagree with that idea. It's like saying that you can only buy 1 item from the GE every 15 minutes. That just won't work. I think he meant that you should only be able to sell back your void armor 10-15 minutes after you bought it. That way, if you click the wrong item you can get the one that you wanted if you notice right away, but you aren't able to effectively have all the items for the price of one.

Is it just me, or did the spell "magic dart" used to be called "slayer dart"? EDIT: Also, what's the tip.it homeworld now? And what clan chat do you all hang out in? :)

Returning after long break; a few questions
The equipment you have is good enough to make a bit of money with slayer. There aren't any news items as essential as a whip. Upgrading to dragon boots is a thought, though. Mint cakes are essentially the opposite of junk. Junk items are items which are worth more on the GE then players are willing to pay for them. It is used to get around the current trade restrictions in the game. Since the junk isn't worth anything but is "worth" money on the GE, players sell junk along with another item that is worth more than it is "worth" on the GE to be able to sell the underpriced item for more than it is "worth". Mint cakes are used also to be able to make an unbalanced trade, but are added to the opposite side. They are worth 5-10 mil, but only "worth" about 30k. If a player wants to buy an item worth more than it is "worth", the player has to trade a mint cake as well. It is all based on the formula Coins = item that is underpriced on the GE + junk or Coins + mint cake = item that is underpriced on the GE

Nomad
That guide is not really any help at all. Anyone with max melees, prayer, herblore, and summoning should have no problem against Nomad. Additionally, he did many things wrong. He should have used magic defense armor for the first part. A beast of burden would have been more helpful than a combat familiar. First of all, i agree that this video doesn't help tecmaster one bit because of the difference in combat and skill levels. Secondly, he did not do things the wrong way. He did it his way and succeeded in killing nomad. What he did though is take the unconventional route to reaching the ultimate goal of killing the nomad. He did whatever it took to finish the job. I meant that he did things the wrong way if he was trying to make a guide. What he did -- using all the best equipment, prayers, and potions -- should be obvious to high-level players who have access to all those things. And lower-level players would never be able to beat Nomad with that setup. He basically made a guide that says, "just do what you always do," which is not really advice. For high-level players, it's just telling them to do nothing different, and for low-level players it won't work because they do need to do something different.

rev's
He needs money, so how can running away give you money, think about that!? LOL FAIL. He needs to complete his clue, but Revs are in the way. Learn to read. Ya yall really do need to learn to read. This topic is almost 2 months old. I doubt that the OP is still on the clue. He better not be. ROFL. He might be. The OP is the one who resurrected the thread, and he did so by quoting the last post before him and adding nothing else....

Rock Lobsters and Ice Burst
I've heard 260-300 crimsons per 1k bursts and the same amount of assorted other charms. This is just from what I remember other people saying, though. I've never actually tried it.

Nomad
I don't want to say that it would be impossible at your level, but it would require a lot of luck. At my levels, which are only a little bit higher than yours, I tried ten times and have not yet killed Nomad. I was using pretty much all the tricks, too. I had pretty good equipment, too: Armadyl Helmet Ava's Accumulator Amulet of Fury Ruby Bolts (e) Rune Crossbow Armadyl body Zamorak Book Black D'hide Chaps Barrows Gloves Snakeskin Boots Archer Ring Admittedly, I never tried switching to melee armor once he started his melee berserker attacks. But, I had an inventory full of sara brews and super restore potions, and a spirit terrorbird full of them as well. I drank a sara brew, super restore, and ranging potion at the bank beforehand. I used the Sap Mage curse. (I also experimented with Eagle Eye and Steel Skin and they didn't work as well.) I perfected the boss fight strategy. I was sipping potions in between attacks, didn't hit any mines, didn't get hit with the 75 attack, killed the correct Nomad clone after only 1-2 attacks from each one, drank brews to above my HP level to survive in case the HP-1 attack and my ruby bolt (e) special fired at the same time, and always restored back to my full range level with super restores. My last seven tries, I consistently got Nomad to around 1-10% of his HP, but got KO'ed by his melee berserker attacks. A few times I even had 15-18 sara brews left at that part, and I still died. Based on the above, I would predict that you have no chance. But I did do a few things wrong, that, if corrected, would probably let you kill Nomad. 1. I never brought melee armor for his last form. 2. I never tried using my Zamorakian Spear. 3. I never combined 1. and 2. 4. I did not have ideal equipment. If melee armor is very effective against Nomad in his melee berserker form, then you have a chance of beating Nomad. If you have full Armadyl, a Spirit Shield, Ranger Boots, and otherwise the same equipment as me, then you have a chance of beating Nomad. If you get lucky with a lot of ruby bolt (e) special attacks hitting at once, you have a chance of beating Nomad. Even without all of that, you still have a chance of beating Nomad, but not a good one.

Mining and Ranged questions
That may be true, but he has the arrows anyway and bronze knives are almost impossible to buy nowadays. I'd say stick with the current plan and keep camping at those minotaurs. Oops, I thought he said he had that many knives. Yep, with that many arrows, just use them to level. At low levels, it won't matter anyway.

I didn't really like the second article, for reasons similar to those states above. And Master_Smither, you don't need to get so defensive about it.

Mining and Ranged questions
It might take a bit of training to be able to do, but Animal Magnetism is a very important quest to do for P2P rangers. It allows you to use Ava's Attractor and Ava's Accumulator. Both of them retrieve ranged ammunition that you shoot for you, so that you don't have to pick up arrows, bolts, knives, or other ammunition after each kill. Knives are usually a bit faster experience than arrows, but it is important that you use them on monsters with low defense so that you always hit them, like cows. A very popular training spot are yaks on the isle of Neitiznot, but getting there requires beating a slightly harder quest and starting another, Fremennick Trials and Fremennick Isles.
