July 31, 200817 yr T&C. Anyways that's about $1,000 USD right? What CPU are you getting? Also I hope the Vista is 64bit and not 32bit. I would spring for an HD4850 over an 8800GT personally, much more powerful and around the same price. (tad more expensive).
July 31, 200817 yr Q6600 is nice for overclocking if you like that=) Yes, it's a good gaming computer. But as Nadril said, I'd chosen HD 4850, a bit more expensive but damn good. I must say I'm quite surprised by that price. I did a quick mock-up of equipment at a local store at me to see what my new computer will cost (will buy it in august): The only real different things i picked differently was an AMD Phenom 9850 (2.5ghz) and HD 4850, but no OS. Came out at 580 euros. Ah wait, you picked Vista i see, so naturally higher. Hm, checked currency-changer, yours is only 100 quid more. Ah well, good price you got there anyways =) Dunno if i should wait for the new 45nm processors from AMD or not... They will come in about 1-2months and give about 15% more performance than the current 65nm.
