F2p Range Help

Featured Replies

I am currently aiming for 70 range, and I have 65 ranged at the moment. What monsters should I train on? (I don't mind if i'm not able to pick up my arrows)

I killed moss giants when I was f2p... got to level 75 or so that way. I did it in wild.

Ice warriors and Ice Giants in the dungeon south of the port are good place to go. Half way through training they got crowded for me, but that was a few years ago... could be better now.

I've also seen people range Cockroaches. I have seen soemoen hug one lvl 83 around the banister right before the lever room. (next to the staircase)

Also Greater Demons in wildy are good if you'd like (but slower xp I think than giants). If you go inside the cross part of the ruins when yo usee a rev they won't follow you in/ won't attack... but log out and switch worlds.

DUDE I'm in the SAME exact predicament as you are! I'm about to get 64 though.

I'd highly recommend safespotting Ice Giants, as these guys aren't too crowded, more HP than Mossies and drop better stuff too. The steel stuff and black kites you can just high alch because they also drop natures, laws and cosmics! Try it out, there's a guide to ranging them in these forums somewhere...

What arrows/equpiment should I use?

josh181830.png

Definitely bring a rune full helm, green d'hide chaps body, best gloves you can find, power ammy, maple short and preferably iron arrows. For food? Bring some lobs but trout/salmon work well also. A fire staff perhaps if you want to alch the items you get? I don't usually bring one though. Oh, also if you have the Explorer's Ring with all 3 levels done, you can easily tele to the patch and bank in Draynor once you're full.

Well, I trained it on Lesser Demons on Crandor. I used steel/iron arrows and maple shortbow, coif, full dragonhide, and safespotted them behind the rocks. You are able to pick up your arrows.

I got from 65-70 at the Lessers in Crandor :)

I made a fair bit of money from it aswell. Got like 8 Rune Meds in total and a load of other junk.

^dds'er in progress =D

if you are looking to just train range and not care about 10k loss in arrows per hour then flesh crawlers are the way to go

rune full helm

green dhide

all the other stuff

2k bronze arrows

head to flesh crawlers northwest room or southeast room depending on lvl
