reaper88888
Mining: 68, Smithing: 58. I've been drawing nearer to my quest cape goal (only 12 left yayz \ ), but I've run into a major problem: the 65 smithing req on Devious Minds. I've got mature dwarven stouts, so I only need 63 smithing, but I'm looking for the best way to get to 63.. So far I've been split between mining and smithing gold with gaunts or making steel platebodies. Does anyone have any suggestions for easier ways to get to 63? Keep in mind, I have a very low budget, the most I could spend would be around 380k. So basically I'm trying to find a faster way without forking out all of my cash.. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves. green9090
I've heard that smithing iron nails and selling them to the sawmill guy lets you break even or profit slightly. green9090
Good news, though! At 63 smithing you can make mith bolts at the blast furnace, which gives exp AND profit AND is fun. Well, at least, I find it fun. I decided to get 75 smithing there when I was just going to try it out because it was fun lol. There's an awesome guide in the AoW that explains it. Hang on, I'll try to find it and link to it here. Edit: Found it! githzerai1
You can try evil dave's stews. Though i'm not sure if the effects of that will stack with a dwarven stout.

It won't, and neither of them will work for Rocking Out. reaper88888
Just made the first 8.65k nails... with zero loss/profit. I think that I'm just going to stick with cannonballs rather than dealing with the agony of selling 75k iron nails in lots of 50... And that is why I wish that there was a 'sell x' option. I think that I'm just going to stick with cannonballs rather than dealing with the agony of selling 75k iron nails in lots of 50... And that is why I wish that there was a 'sell x' option. there practically is a sell-x option and its a simple thing to set up. First, set your mouse option to one-button in the options menu. Then put your nails in the bottom row of your inventory. Now left click. Since your mouse is set to one-button, it'll be as if you right clicked, and since your nails are in the bottom row of your inventory, the menu goes up instead of down. So your mouse is right over the "Sell 50" option. Simply left click again and you've sold 50. Now left click like a spastic woodpecker!!!
reaper88888
Heh.. Maybe I'll do it after all, if only to get a screeny of the 75k nails in the shop.. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves. sliceopie
Making bronze or iron darts is slightly profitable. Cannonballs are but not great exp. For maximum profit you could just make the bars and sell - do something like mithril.
