Yes, you should easily be capable of doing it. I would recommend Lobsters over Tuna, and Adamant to be cautious. If you are really worried, which you shouldn't be, they bring a Varrock/Lumbridge/Draynor/Falador Teleport.

I'll give you your best advice.

 

Run when your about to die.

Ya seriously, I did it at your level and beat Elvarg using up only 4 lobsters. Just carry a dose of strength potion and you will finish with ease. Dont even need the strength potion but just take it. The only way you will die is if you forget antifire shield or dont bring any food.

I might have had higher defence, I just cant remember stats but I do remember that Elvarg was a complete joke to me. In fact I was really annoyed that I did not face a bigger challenge as it was the ultimate f2p quest.

Elvarg is a piece of cake...

 

I did it at 43 combat without many problems. :P
