Item Leasing Is Corrupt

Featured Replies

I have no problem lending out items. If someone asks for a Dragon Axe or a Whip, I usually (about half the time) let them borrow it, for free at that, if I know that I am not going to be using it for a while. But yes, no means no. And as far as I am concerned, no ends a discussion.

The problem I see with it is this. You can lend out extremely valuable items to your friend now, so they can go, let's say fight a really hard monster, without fear of the items being lost. (seeing as how lent items aren't lost if you die) Takes away the factor of "I might lose this sweet item if I die.

Just another way of making things better for the little whiny brats that think there should be no risks involved in this game.

Ya that is a problem but not really his rant =/

I agree that it mitigates the damage factor of RS a lot (have your friend and yourself just switch items before doing a hard boss) but he is ranting about how people charge others to use items.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one

And I figured it was better to add my two cents on this rant than start another rant about "Item Lending".

My first reaction was it takes away the "I might lose this sweet item my friend lent me and he's going to hunt me down and kill me in real life because it took him like 3 months to get it and I lost it in a day" feeling when borrowing an item.

Now I get the "I'd really like it if you would lend me your dragon axe" approach that, despite multiple warnings that I don't actually own said dragon hatchet, continue.

Pureprayer, you're awesome.
Junk trading is against the rules, it is a form of RWT and people who practice it for item leasing disgust me.

How is this real world trading, there is no real money involved? The real statement would be" Junk trading is against the rules, and makes it possible to real world trade." Not everyone that junk trades is a RWT'r.

Anyways, if a person wants to spend money for having an item lent is their choice, as long as they do not use real money...I could care less.
