August 9, 200817 yr Is using a ring of wealth a good idea? I've read some articles and some people have said that it actually decreases rare drops because it increases drops of other, worse items. Also, the thing with the two roulettles released by Jagex confuses me. I've also heard that it doesn't affect the drop rate of Dragon items. Can anyone clear this up for me?
August 9, 200817 yr dont believe people that try to debunk jagex' statements, most of them are just angry about bad luck (most of the times they just dont kill enough and expect visage after 100 steel kills, aka noobs). Ring of wealth works, even though you will never see any proof of this. see my drop log and decide for yourself: [hide=]Dragon drops (46): 27-08-06 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) (pic) 27-11-06 - Dragon Spear (pic) 28-11-06 - Dragon Platelegs (pic) 30-11-06 - Dragon Plateskirt 04-12-06 - Dragon Platelegs 04-12-06 - Dragon Plateskirt 26-01-07 - Dragon Plateskirt 27-01-07 - Dragon Plateskirt 31-01-07 - Dragon Platelegs 02-02-07 - Dragon Platelegs 11-07-07 - Dragon Plateskirt 11-07-07 - Dragon Platelegs 12-07-07 - Dragon Platelegs 14-07-07 - Dragon Platelegs 16-07-07 - Dragon Plateskirt 17-07-07 - Dragon Plateskirt 17-07-07 - Dragon Platelegs 20-07-07 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 21-07-07 - Dragon Med Helm (ROW) 11-11-07 - Dragon Platelegs (ROW) 16-11-07 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 20-01-08 - Dragon Shield Left Half (pic) 28-01-08 - Dragon Spear 30-01-08 - Dragon Spear 24-04-08 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 21-05-08 - Dragon Shield Left Half 06-06-08 - Dragon Spear (ROW) 09-06-08 - Dragon Platelegs (ROW) 09-06-08 - Dragon Med Helm (ROW) 09-06-08 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 09-06-08 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 24-06-08 - Dragon Med Helm 06-07-08 - Dragon Spear (Fullscreen HD pic) 08-07-08 - Dragon Platelegs (ROW) (Fullscreen HD pic) 09-07-08 - Dragon Shield Left Half (ROW) (Fullscreen HD pic) 10-07-08 - Dragon Chainbody (Lootshare) (pic) 21-07-08 - Dragon Platelegs (ROW) 28-07-08 - Dragon Med Helm (ROW) 28-07-08 - Dragon Med Helm (ROW) 28-07-08 - Dragon Spear (ROW) 04-08-08 - Dragon Chainbody (ROW) (pic) 04-08-08 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 07-08-08 - Dragon Plateskirt 08-08-08 - Dragon Plateskirt (ROW) 09-08-08 - Dragon Platelegs (ROW) 09-08-08 - Dragon Platelegs (ROW) Since 03-02-08 - 49 Dragon Boots Abyssal Whip drop (9): 01-05-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) (pic) 24-05-08 - Abyssal Whip 24-05-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) 05-06-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) 15-06-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) 03-07-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) (Fullscreen HD pic) 28-07-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) 31-07-08 - Abyssal Whip (ROW) 01-08-08 - Abyssal Whip Dark Bow drops (7): 08-07-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) (Fullscreen HD pic) 08-07-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) 09-07-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) 09-07-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) 13-07-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) 29-07-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) 03-08-08 - Dark Bow (ROW) Miscellaneous drops: 20-07-07 - Draconic Visage (ROW) (pic) 05-06-08 - Granite legs (ROW) 16-07-08 - KBD Heads (ROW) 21-07-08 - KBD Heads (ROW) (Fullscreen HD pic)[/hide]
August 9, 200817 yr the thing with the roullette wheel is confusing. but someone explained it to me once. basically theirs the roullette wheel for getting rare drops, and to spin for a rare drop on that roullette wheel you need to get the right number on the first wheel. what the ring of wealth does, as explained by jagex, is the ring of wealth makes it more common to get the right number to spin for a rare drop on the first wheel. it doesnt affect the second roullette wheel, it just makes it more common to be able to spin the second one. you could say the same thing but with dice, lets say you have two dice. you need to roll a 6 with the first die to be able to roll for another 6 on the other die, the ring of wealth would improve your chances of getting the six the first time, making it so you roll for a 6 again more commonly. thats what the ring of wealth does to my understanding.

Allow me to set this straight once and for all. 1) If thou consider the possessions of an enemy to be like a roulette wheel, then the 'rare' items so coveted by players are located on a second roulette wheel, that will only be spun shouldst thou roll a specific number on the first wheel. The ring of wealth affects not the number which thou may achieve upon the first wheel, but should thou gain the precise number to allow thee access to the second, the ring will make thy chances of gaining an object on that second roulette wheel all the greater. My analogy is flawed, for death is not like roulette, but I hope that thou see the truth within this.[/hide] http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=375

August 9, 200817 yr ok in condensed english Baisically the ring of wealth means if u get onto the second wheel which will have blanks and items, the chance of an item is increased. so if ur hunting for a "rare" item from a monster (as deemed by jagex) wear it. either way wear it unless the monster has no interesting rare drop, where u should wield a stat boosting ring. also note that ring of wealth does not affect drops when lootsharing or coinsharing Current goal: 94 mage (85).Proud owner of Quest cape, While guthix sleeps completed 3rd january 2009.
August 10, 200817 yr and english isnt even my first language =p I know this is off-topic, but what is your first language? ... And for the rest of you, the Ring of Wealth makes rares drop more often. That's all you need to hear. O_o So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.
August 10, 200817 yr row is good to use everywhere expect GWD...as Coinshare ignores ROW?? as somebody said before, yes it does, coinshare and lootshare are not effected by the ring of wealth.

August 10, 200817 yr and english isnt even my first language =p I know this is off-topic, but what is your first language? dutch is :) Very nice! It's always handy to be fluent in two languages. Unfortunately, I only speak English and some Spanish. So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.
